From The Mirror............

Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson is ready to snap up Derby midfielder David Jones in a cut-price £500,000 deal before the weekend.

Jones joined the Rams from Manchester United for twice that amount last season but has slipped out of the picture at Pride Park and is keen to move on.

Robson has been tracking Jones for months and Paul Jewell will now do business as he starts a major clear-out.

The Blades chief also wants to land Blackpool's Irish midfield creator Wes Hoolahan, the 25-year-old Dubliner who has impressed in the Championship this season.

To be fair, from what I have seen of Jones, he would be a great signing for THIS league.

I don't think he'd be a bad player for this league but i don't think hes much better than what we've already got and we should concentrate more on players like Hughes or even try again for Savage, after all he's been linked with QPR and i can't see him turning us down for them

Well this poo poo's that one.................

Derby County’s luck shows no sign of taking an upturn after it was confirmed that midfielder David Jones must undergo a hernia operation.

The former Manchester United man faces several weeks out of action as injuries continue to hamper The Rams’ slim hopes of escaping the threat of relegation. Boss Paul Jewell has just 17 players available for the must-win trip to The Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday evening.
