You’re right. He was a pure joy to watch when he was on it. Unreal talent but we didn’t see it often enough. But without selling him we wouldn’t be where we are now.

I think Brooks is the most talented footballer I’ve seen in a United shirt since the young TC burst onto the scene. I’d have him back in a heartbeat.

At this level he’d be phenomenal. He plays with the freedom of a young kid in the school playground. You don’t coach that into players, it’s natural. And...it’s different!

Which is probably why we found it hard to accommodate him previously because he isn’t a traditional this or that. But he’s a game-changer and these type of players are rare and ought to be extremely highly valued.
