Bournemouth's Welsh winger David Brooks will be out for three months with an ankle injury.

The 22-year-old, who signed from Sheffield United for £11.5m in July 2018, is due to have surgery next week.

The news comes a day after midfielder Dan Gosling was also ruled out for three months, with a hip injury. :)

Gerremthrashed! First game o’t’ season.

Can’t wait to hear what they’ll say about us on MOTD if we do.

That’s a genuine shame. We can’t go through the whole season hoping to avoid the best players in the league. We’ve got to go toe to toe with em.

A couple of big injuries at a bad time for Bournemouth ,which helps us for the first game.
However wishing Brooks a speedy recovery so we can see him play at the lane.UTB

I'm surprised Bournemouth have managed to keep him. Quality player for me.

Not done enough to be near the fee they'd be asking for in my opinion, thus he's still there.

Has struggled with injuries obviously but he's still occasionally absent, and a bit suspect when getting back.

A good showing when he gets over the ankle injury, and he'll be off for £50m.

I don't mind this too much. A bit like Zaha for Palace. I don't go much these days (and probably not at all this season :( ), but in last few years (perhaps only 7-10 homes per season), and from footage, I notice how good we are at getting the ball into the final 3rd, but then missing something slightly at getting the ball in the box. Both players fit. Reminds me a bit of Beagrie days. Though I'm probably making enemies as I type!
🤣

Don’t think it warrants a smile like but it’s obviously good news for us. Partly the reason the fee was pretty low was due to question marks over his injury record.

We'll barely get a mention

Strange thing is, considering everybody's views about how much great coverage we got last season.
I had a couple of days off last week with a bit of man flu, so I made myself comfortable and watched FIVE one hour programmes condensing the Championship season into 5 hours.
I thought they'd be loads of coverage on us.
I'm not exaggerating here, we got about 9 seconds of coverage in the entire five, one hour programmes.
The programme actually ended with Norwich and this rather strange other club who were never involved getting promoted

Yep. We'll be last (or next to last) on MOTD every week, like last time, regardless of who we play.

What channel were these programmes on?

Who was presenting it?

If it was Sky then thats not true as They have been re showing their Saturday night shows and Rosenior mentions us frequently.

If it was Channel 5 then it would have been Colin Murray and he would have mentioned us frequently. (These programmes Not been advertised anywhere if it was)

If it’s anyone else it’s not true as no one else has the rights.

I don’t believe you is basically what I’m saying.

I think we will get a fair bit of coverage and mentions, it wasn't that bad last time I recall. Still got some MOTD recordings on an old HDR (beating Arsenal and Watford among them).

9 seconds in 5 hours coverage of the team that finished second, who who produced that, LUTV?

Mostly condensed repeats of the Championship programmes

Maybe there were more than five programmes and we got more coverage in the latter programmes

But the five hours I watched we barely got any coverage
