He is a proper talent. Lovely footballer unfortunately he’s missed too much football. Hes been let down by his body and that cunt cancer.

As much as he seems like a top lad and it would be a lovely story him returning and helping us get promoted we absolutely must be signing people able to play 40 odd games a season. He’s just simply missed too much football and hasn’t ever really put in a really long run of game after game.

Wish him nothing but the best. Apart from twice next season.

Brooks played quite a bit last season but most of his appearances were from the bench. It remains to be seen whether he can play 90 minutes in a pressing team 3 times a week. Plus, I'm guessing he wants quite a decent wage.

He isn't particularly hard working but shows flashes of brilliance

Personally, the height of my ambitions in life has never been to be an also ran.

That's why I've had a better than 'also ran' life, because I've dared to dream, hope and strive for the best.

I believe United can and should be capable of better than an 'also ran' existence as well, but sadly they seem destined to be let down by the many 'supporters' who've reared their ugly heads of late, demonstrating a lack of self-belief in, and aspiration for, United, by wanting them to be "just like all the other clubs".

Such a devout lack of ambition for United, is something I'm neither willing nor able to get on board with. I'll always want us to be the best we can be, not another also ran.

Phillips
Alzate

That would not be a bad first 3. A lot of clubs are shopping in England at present, imagine we'll sign a few lads from overseas who we've not heard of, but might been half decent footie players

Just seems strange decent players that know this league and prem and it seems we are looking at 18 Yr old from Swindon. Just thought the idea was to go up not settle as a championship side

I’ve being doing myself a disservice for years, - I never recognised that posting on a 2nd tier provincial club fan site (& boasting about my achievements) was an indicator of accomplishing the “best”.
I did once (deliberately) piss all over Allan Clarke’s grey suede loafers in the bogs at Scunthorpe Baths Hall during a Christmas ‘do’when he was gaffer at ‘The Iron’.
On sobering up next morning I did feel a tad remorseful but thanks to you inspirational ‘counsel’ I can confidently state “ fuck him”. My only regret (now) is that I didn’t also ‘hit’ his grey crimplene ‘slacks’.
