Spoke to a Magnificent Seven people about Brooksy's route to the Blades first team and the senior Wales squad, of course via rejection by Manchester City. Including our very own Ball_Sup (Phil) and JimPhipps.
The Mods, I guess, will decide if this stays or goes but in the international break, with not much else going on, it might beat arguing about loyalty points. Or not, but that's not my call. :D

Cracking article mate. Nice work.

I imagine it was a good article. Then again I'll never know since reading it would involve clicking on a link to the Star.

But full marks anyway....probably.

The best young talent we have ever had at the lane EVER !
Pity he had to wear his Dads football shirt though .

Cracking article Danny boy.

Keep up the good work and don't take too much notice of some of your detractors on here - they're all good lads at heart ( at least, that's what their mothers say )

It's interesting that in these days of Premiership academies snapping up every youngster across the country with even the vaguest hint of talent, from as young as 7 or 8, clubs like ours have had to react and be ready to snap up the inevitable cast-offs. Happened with Brooks and I remember in the deadline day video there was a mention of a youngster from Chelsea we had signed at a similar age who could be a star.

It's a bit fucked up that clubs like Man City or Man U can release players like him at a young age and hardly matters a jot when they sign them back for tens of millions years later.

The Chelsea youngster you are referring to is probably Sammy Ompreon. I saw him recently for the U19 Futures v Swallownest MWFC. I thought he had a quiet game. Although he made one of the goals.
George Broadbent & Jean Belehouan have both been brought into our Academy from Manchester United fairly recently.
I'm pretty sure Rhys Norrington-Davies was formerly at the Swansea City Academy.
