I really don't get why some fans are so keen to make up songs about the players. I can understand it, to some extent, with young kids and those in their early teens maybe, where "hero worship" and "adulation" and maybe even "subconscious homo-erotic fantasises" are the norm. But for heaven's sake...grown men making songs up about footballers? I think there's something seriously wrong tbh. Then again, I may just be a miserable old bugger?

I can't decide but I think it might be two specific things putting my off.

Using the words school boy looks is a bit peado.

The dancing, Christ the dancing alone is bad enough. You don't dance to a football chant well unless you're a pig:

Football chants have been a part of the game since the Victorians first chanted “Play up Sheffield” Chants about players have been around since at least the days of Georgie Best. Maybe before?

Dancing around your living room on the internet takes it to a whole new level that I personally wouldn’t aspire to but I think in this case it’s a bit tongue-in-cheek and quite funny.

I don’t think too many Blades fans were having homo-erotic fantasies about Eddie Colquhoun and Paul Beesley while they were singing their names.

Grown men throwing bottles and trying to storm the away end are a serious problem at the moment. Grown men making up daft chants as a bit of harmless fun? Not so much.

BTW, your photo reminds me very much of a young ISC at Dinno Comp in the late 70's. The seven hairs that I have left, are somewhat shorter these days.
