Skysports.com understands a quartet of clubs are chasing Lincoln's highly-rated midfielder Dany N'Guessan.

The former Rangers youngster has impressed hugely since moving to Sincil Bank in 2007.

A number of clubs have watched the 21-year-old in action this term with N'Guessan catching the eye with nine goals so far.

N'Guessan looks likely to leave Lincoln at the end of the season on a free transfer after rejecting a new deal at Sincil Bank and the news has alerted the likes of Leicester, Reading, Ipswich and Sheffield United.

Saw him play in a pre season friendly against Lincoln United last year - looked one of the better Lincoln City players, but I'm not convinced he'd be a first team regular for us even in the Championship. The locals round here seem to rate him though - but when there's only Boston, Grimsby and Gainsborough to compare with, that perhaps doesn't say too much :D

Think we should be looking to get shut of some of the deadwood from midfield before we think about getting in another player that is unproven even at Championship level

Interesting that Blackwell got slated for signing Ward last year as a forward from Division 2 who wouldn't cut it at this level. Now he gets slated for NOT signing an even bigger unproven/untried player. Can't win springs to mind!
