was up that fucking hill this morning ,why do people think they can push in halfway up ,and stop the whole queue. Dale cregan shot those coppers at the top of that hill ,he should claim road rage.
Should be careful driving up there, its speed camera central - Tameside Council are speed camera facists!

Some twat dressed head to foot in black, with a twirly black moustache and an evil leer on his face, tied me to a railway track this morning and left me in the path of a speeding steam train. The driver didn't see me until it was too late and couldn't brake in time....

Only one man could save me............

Unfortunately he was busy waving some numpty out of a fucking lay-by in Mottram!

Control was desperate. Karla had been disrupting too many of the Circus's operations lately, Prideaux's capture in Prague was just the latest. And there was no one to trust. Not Bill Haydon, not Percy Alleline, not Bland or Esterhase. Control knew he had to go outside for help as he reached for the phone and waited a second or two for the click and the secretary's answer on the other end of the line.

"Get me Danny Wilson" he whispered

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode Danny Wilson.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode Danny Wilson.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismayed?
Not tho' the soldiers knew
Someone had blundered:
Theirs was not to make reply,
Theirs was not to reason why,
Theirs was but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode Danny Wilson.
Cannon to the right of them,
Cannon to the left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell,
Rode Danny Wilson.
Flashed all their sabres bare,
Flashed as they turned in air,
Sab'ring the gunners there,
Charging and army, while
All the world wondered:
Plunging in the battery smoke,
Right through the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reeled from the sabre-stroke
Shattered and sundered.
Then they rode back, but not--
Not Danny Wilson.
Cannon to the right of them,
Cannon to the left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that fought so well,
Came thro' the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of Danny Wilson.
When can their glory fade?
Oh, the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honor the charge they made!
Honor the Light Brigade,
Noble Danny Wilson!
Alfred Tennyson (1809-1892)

I spend far too many hours on that hill. Stupid road. Then you get to the M67 and it all disappears - miraculous! Those that push in half way up piss me off - I've seen various road rage hand signs exchanged through car windows for that reason... Always raises a smile :-)

Spotted a bloke walking down the hill t'other week - Blades hat on. I suddenly felt amongst friends!

I know it doesn't really add to the spirit of the thread, but he's let me out on Chessie Road before too, with a smile on his face.

He also has a friendly, yet adequately firm hand shake... Nothing on Morgs though.

Can't wait for metalblade and Micalijo to see this.

"He was only letting you out so he could rear end you, claim the insurance and spend it on his Wednesday season ticket."

"His car is probably on loan."

"The fact you were blocked in in the first place is McCabe's fault." Etc, etc.
That reminds me, where is Micalijo? Not been seen for a while, but I'm sure he'll be back on Saturday if we lose.

I imagine Morgan goes in two-footed on his back garden with his kids... Then says "Hurt? You're not hurt!! Get up and carry on you big fairy!"

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of that!

But before he went, he said Up The Blades, and said his only wish
Was to save a young Unitedite caught in a barrage
So here, take his dog tag, son, I know he'd want you to have it now"
And we both said a prayer for a small man named Wilson

Can vouch for a Morgs handshake after meeting him last year, christ on a bike I wanted a handshake not a handbreak, that was close to ABH!
