Incoming? Dan Burn

It's getting a little late in the day isn't it? If nothing does come off though, I'm sure we can all agree that at least we know we were looking for the right players in the right positions and we've got a manager in charge who sees things the same way most of we do. Burn and Hammond would have been outstanding at this level and really shored our spine up. If they don't go anywhere we may have an option for a loan deal. There's reason to still be optimistic I'd say. Not withstanding we have significant players still to come back from injury and we're doing pretty well with what we have.

His partner was pretty solid too. Was it Webster?...
Byron Webster, who was at Donny on loan a few seasons back and played at Lane when about 18.
Him and Burn were like two giant Neanderthals when together at Yeovil. I recall Burn having a nasty streak rather than being of gentle giant variety (a la John Mathews)

Was it Upton or Upson...something like that?[/QUOTE)

That's him, Ed Upson, just looked on Wikipedia.

He signed for Millwall in Jan 2014 and has played 39 games for them with 2 goals. His contract runs out next summer.

Right cocky sod in interview after they beat us. No doubt Turnbull will know all about him!

Reply up above in the quote box

I agree. But we should all be disappointed that given the Murphy fee, and several weeks, we've failed to act.

Fingers crossed, still.

Shields says we're interested in Burns...but have 'bigger fish to fry' (Made the last bit up, as thats what he should have said...)

...which beg's the question who is our no.1 CB target that Adkins is waiting on...?

Looks like we're all going to be Burn victims amirite?

Something will happen before the window shuts. I don't think NA would have stayed behind if there wasn't a degree of certainty

This is definitely the most important one, I'd say.

Hammond would be great. Burn is needed.

However, right after I say that...

Why do people even still take what that bellend Stephenson says as gospel?

They were interested in selling as had other targets, we didn't bid high enough so he stays. Typical

Sounds like we've been mislead by NA after he basically made it clear/implied that two signings were very near to completion.

Shouldn't have said that if it wasn't pretty much nailed on.

Or maybe he was telling the truth but as we got closer to finalising the transfers they hit a stumbling block.
