Not an expert by any stretch, but I find that many of the named champagnes like Moët are vile unless you get the limited stuff.
But a very good Champagne is something to behold.

"d'accord" hark at you. Laquelle region de la France etiez-vous ? Vous etes raison au sujet du vin en Angleterre , c'est merde, et moins chere la bas
Not an expert by any stretch, but I find that many of the named champagnes like Moët are vile unless you get the limited stuff. vinegar type bottles of piss. Price is often not a guide in bars and restaurants, had some awful bottles of expensive stuff, cracking cheap stuff.
Personally I prefer a decent bottle of prosecco than a cheap champagne. Get a bottle for £10-15 from sainsburys and you might well change your opinion. I tend to find a bottle and stick with that one.
As for the pricey and vintage stuff I have a limit, tried some really flashy/ bling stuff, but it's the classics and more importantly the year which tends to govern the difference between decent fizz and Sarsons
Whats your preference? Mine is Dom Perignon 1999Moet, SchMoet in our house - awful stuff
Can't honestly tell the difference between Champagne (admittedly Moet) and Asda Cava.
Obviously wasted on me..............
Obviously the two are the same then![]()
Football - the working mans game!
20 to 30 years ago the terrace talk is about Beer, Pies, page 3 and Strikes.......
And now- pontificating in French and talking about the virtues of Champagne and Wine.....
Get a f~**ing grip lads.
This is Sheffield - In the North
Anyhow can't stop, the Foie Gras and cavier has just been brought to me by my man Jeeves
I don't and never have liked Strikes.
So northerners have to settle for Beer, pies, page 3 and strikes?
I like beer, pies and page 3 just not all the time. I also like other fine foods, wine and Champagne.
I don't and never have liked Strikes.
Of course we don't, I am with you on this - You were missing my sarcasm!
I was gonna join the discussion about my love of Prosecco when it occured that we have moved on out of the dark ages - the stereotype of the working class man gone thank god..
So I had to comment on it![]()
