Thanks for that...it wasn't keeping me awake at night or anything, I just wondered. But what's keeping you wide awake at 4am, not enough Peroni?!

I think I'd find a few changes in Sheffield since 2004...from reading the news I hear there are less pubs & less trees which are 2 things I liked about my home town, so that's not good...if its true? What's happening down at BDTBL more than makes up for it though. The joy the CW/AK era is bringing to my mum & dad who are still season ticket holders now in their late 70s makes me very happy.

Anyway FYI its 2pm here & I'm at work, should get on

Sheffield’s changed a bit & correct on the pubs & trees - the latter being a topical & for many a rather sore point.
Pubs seem to be turning into local shops like Co-Op & Premier - all being well them Blades’ll be turning into a Premier(ship) side before too long. Magic times at BDTBL.
And good on your mum & dad.

Other Sheffield news:-
Castle & Sheaf Markets have been flattened.
The whole Grosvenor block is being redeveloped.
They’ve painted some of the buses that horrible ‘coffee & cream’ colour from the 70’s/80’s.
We’ve got an Ikea.

Wilder should to be backed in January to the tune of £7m - £10m. If we have a chance to go up we can't let it slip through our fingers by penny pinching.

One big thing that could make Wilder move elsewhere is the club not being able to match his ambition.

Very sad for English football that.

Foreign manager = cultured, exotic and sexy especially to foreign owners
English manger = dour, hard working but unimaginative.

Having said that, long may it continue, so that CW can remain unmolested at the Lane.
I would hardly call the football under CW dour and unimaginative :D

Not a chance I will show my bollocks in woolys window if they give him 10 million, we will get a couple of loans and that will be it other than move out some of the dead wood still not convinced McCabe has any ambition than to be at this level :tumbleweed:

Neither would I.

I can see that i did not it clear that is the perception of the Premier League's owners, that English football is not as sexy as continental football. Long may that ridiculous perception continue to allow CW to remain at BDTBL doing his 'unseen' good work.

Wednesday are still 'biggest, best, oldest'
Wednesday are massive
Wednesday will still go up this year
No United players would get in Wednesday's team of galacticos
We are only near the top on 'pashun', which will soon run out.

I think you are now completely up to date with all the latest news from NKT.

You may have to explain "NKT" for our cousin down-under......

By the way goatherder , what part of Oz are you living in?

Middle of last season I suggested 10 year contracts for CW & AK: leave the men in no doubt that they are fully appreciated and message other clubs not to even think about them. I agree they should have big backing in January and next summer. Make this era fireproof and absolutely make it count. Best for 45 years.

Didn’t you also say we’d only get anywhere with fast black players?

Is it North Korea Talk? ...I also just worked out what GLTTL stands for last week.

I live about 40mins inland from Noosa in Queensland with a French wife & about 30 animals...non of whom have the slightest interest in the revolution that is happening in a northern English city on the other side of the planet.

Their loss...

It's about money, though, isn't it? I mean, Leeds are a bigger club than Burrrrrrrrrrrrrnley, but that didn't stop Wood going there, for instance. Things can turn very quickly in football, and you've got to strike while the iron's hot. Carlos may be a laughing stock now, but 18 months ago he was the hottest property in this division. He turned the PL down, and now he'd be lucky to get a job cleaning out the lavatories in Arbroath.

Alright, tin hat on - I know we love the fact that CW likes a beer; makes him more ‘relatable’ if you’ll excuse a dreadful bit of modern HR speak, but is Peroni really that exciting? Isn’t it just a bog standard Euro lager?

Or is it just another in the growing list of S2 4SU tropes, like maggots, Nokia ring tone, the fax machine, WUEDP, GLTTL, shark attacks, alloys, and so on?

It's overtaken those as a terrible joke already and yes it is a pretty standard lager but as Nonna's charge about £6 a pint for it and the blokes wearing jeans, suit jackets and tan brogues drink it, it's perceived as cool.

Whereas in reality, it's as sophisticated as shitting on the pavement.

Mr Wilder will see you in his office first thing tomorrow Bush.

He's not bothered about trying to appear sophisticated. That was the last bloke, the one who went on about geese and did his team talks with a PowerPoint.
