Wilson says that with any club going down they have to cut the colth. I understand the club have less money coming in now, but it would be nice for the board to take the hit and keep the most of the players that got us into this mess, to fight to get us out, and back up.

Rather than sell everyone and replace them with worse.

How much fight did those same players show last season though ?

I've no problem keeping the likes of Hendo but only if the price is right and they take the cut in wages to show they really are up for the fight. If they're not up for it then get shut and bring in someone who is, no way should we be paying the same wages to the players who put us in this position.

You haven't been doing this Blades supporting thing very long have you? I'll give you a phrase to use. Don't. Hold. Your. Breath.

Also, cutting your colth sounds painful. Go see a nurse.

Olle, you can have that one on me.

Completely unrealistic.

But regardless, who wants to keep the likes of Monty, Evans, Cresswell, Quinn and Bogdanovic who are all on big wages. What Wilson and the board need to do is be strategic about who they keep. I would argue for keeping Hendo and Williamson of the 'Championship quality' players.

Who says we need to replace the overpaid dross with worse. Wilson should be looking to bring through youth, sign hungry/young/talented players from the lower leagues to replace people.

You are getting carried away mucker. Stick to what you are good at (i.e. badgering me)

KOC, can you start to reply to Bladesway with some Scottish dialects so he can understand you?

Keep the players that got us into this mess!

Let's just reflect on why and how they got us into this mess. Here's a thought - not good enough!

Time to clear the decks and move on. Willo is the one to keep. Pair him with D-Mac and you have an impressive central midfield, certainly at Div 3 level.

After this close seasons demolition of the squad, which will most probably include one or two academy lads, means we wont be able to use that line again because we'll have actually by then, run out of cloth!!!

oh no .................... get rid of the fo 0kers ......or its certain relegation again !

What sort of wages is Quinny on? he would be a quality player in league 1.
Anyone know of any players in the mold of Lambert and Holt in the lower leagues at the moment to partner slew up front Hendos on way to high wages.

Shouldn't the thread title be Touching cloth rather than cutting it?
