With possibly the worst squad assembled at BDTBL for many years why o why do virtually every one of them can't resist speaking to the media to tell the world that they can still win promotion this season - from players who have only had two consequetive victories all season:
Examples:
Simonsen - who is currently making mistakes week in week out and yet still holds his place which is more than can be said of holding the ball
Montgomery - Only got his place back in the side because the other candidate for skipper Morgan is out injured
Britton - Joined with a fanfare pre season as the next Messi only to be dragged down by the rest of the side
Evans - Our star 'striker' who can't hit a cows arse with a banjo and looks totally disinterested
Cresswell - 100% trier with little or no skill - scored some goals last year to secure a contract - this year bugger all
Ward - Petulant idiot that can't play two games on the trot without being injured
Ertl- Journeyman player that contributes very little
Quinn- Words fail me how low he has sunk! - he was a far better player 5 years ago when we loaned him out for experience

They have all had plenty to say - talk the talk but cannot walk the walk as the saying goes!
Listen guys - don't make it worse for yourselves - this year you are an embarrasment to watch don't keep filling newspaper columns on your thoughts and aspirations show us on the pitch if you think youre good enough for promotion ie Put up or shut up!

Ward - Petulant idiot that can't play two games on the trot without being injured

As a matter of interest, when, if ever, is Ward likely to return? Does anyone know? I have seen nothing said about this.

(Not that I think he'd improve things, mind, but someone has to play up front on Saturday and Evans up front on his own is certainly not a formula for any goals)

It has to be 4-5-1 this Sat. Can't see the benefit of pushing Yeates up to make a two and we will need to flood the midfield to try and keep Reading quite. I'd take a draw now.

Would you prefer our players had no aspiration or confidence in the squad?
Although it had been quite woeful viewing on the pitch so far, there have been one or two encouraging signs of late (Bristol game excluded)
I'd be very worried if the players wrote off the season in late november, playing in a negative state of mind would surely do a hell of a lot more damage to the team?

8 points betwen us and the playoffs. we've all seen the wonders a small run of form can do the league table. you never know with the blades

Just goes to prove if we want to find fault we can. I hope to avoid relegation, it is definitely the last thing I want. The team frustatrates me because there is obviously a lot of talent present. However, they are inconsistent and play like a team without confidence - there is a certain hesitation in their approach. Not a lot of difference in talent between the teams, so if we are crap so are the league. Have a ball, if you want to find fault. Curious if you can find any answer other than buy a new team, or we should have kept the Kypes and Beattie and Jags and ...... Face the reality, we have lttle spare cash and need to work with what we have got. Reid has been the one attempt to push the boat out but I would be surprised if there was more.

laid in the bath the other day, i was thinking what i'd do if i won the euromillions, buy the blades of course and what players would i keep.. umm
