From this list the standouts are Renato Santos and Mauro Icardi.

Santos has massively lost his way after so much promise early in his career. Whilst Icardi is still quality he's sadly caught up life issues outside of football - legal and divorce must notably.
Ndombele is a strange one.

Cost big money and had a big reputation when he joined Spurs, started great, fell out with Mourinho and then had a tricky couple of years.

Was pretty good for Nice in terms of stats and he's still only 29.

Unsure if there are any big injuries but I'm surprised he's without a club

As if Raphael Guerreiro is without a club.

Lets just do this:

Cooper
Guerreiro - Webster - Kitching - Burrows
Renato Sanches - Ndombele
Sterling - Januzaj - Zaha
Icardi

I did consider him, good player, but given we have 152 midfielders on the books already I decided to pass 😂

What number on Wolfe Rd? the spar shop?
I've not been back for years. Can't remember the number - maybe 39? We were somewhere in the middle of the row. We were with Mace at the time. We sold it round about 1977 IRC.
There was a newsagents, a chippie, a co-op, a haberdasher and maybe a couple of other trades I can't remember.

Ah. Ok. I think we might have been neighbours for a while. Mum and dad bought No 41 in 1976.

Wow! Was it still a haberdashers or had it changed trade?
In 1976 we had let it out to a butcher who wanted to develop the butchery side which we'd started i a small way several years earlier. I had some good times in that shop, filling in when my dad had a couple of serious illnesses.
