Derek Hales. Broke John Flynns leg against Charlton. Silent ?

If I’ve got that wrong apologies to Hales for all the poison pen letters over 50 years.

Conversely quite like Charlton.

Wolves for that 3-0 defeat.

West Ham, no contest, for any irrational reason you like, and very many rational ones. My dislike for our lovable Cockney friends knows no bounds. They make me into someone who tends to be sympathetic to Millwall, simply because they're not West Ham, but come from a similar part of the world. For some weird reason they (West Ham not Millwall) can do no wrong in the eyes of the media and the authorities. They're untouchable. I despise them more than any other club (football, cricket, working mens, whatever). And yes, more than Wendy!

Yes, lost 3-2 in October 1976. Jinky's last match for us despite scoring our 2nd. Eddie Colquhoun told Hales after the match "I will break your leg at the Lane". Not long after, Hales moved to Derby

Didn’t realise it was as late as 1976. I’m distantly related to John Flynn.

Thanks Silent

I think Blade.com sums it up as much as me. I don't mind London, in fact I rather like it, but there's a certain sort of cocky twat who West Ham seem to represent more than any other club. I knew a couple of these types when I lived in Coventry in the early 80's. I wasn't particularly into football then, but I knew I very much disliked West Ham because of these arrogant jokers who genuinely thought their club won the World Cup, and took the piss out of anything norwf of Barnet (don't know what they were doing in Cov, probably like me, a degree for those who drank their way through A levels)! They drank lager. I don't mean the sort we get now, I mean the sub-Carling 70's sort. They were just twats, and West Ham is THE twat's club. I've not used the word hate, as it's not the right word. Despise is better. I really, really, really don't like them, ever, and would be overjoyed if they ever got found out and disappeared up their own entitled Cockney arses. I don't like them. There!

Never had owt to do with them, personally, at any time, except for a few years in’the forces early seventies. Always found working class fowk alright irrespective of where they came from, although the Essex Man seemed to have put Milk Snatcher in power bitd.

Really had a deep abiding visceral hatred of Leeds from early 1960s which got worse as the years passed, not as bothered these days as I was. They’re more an object of ridicule today

Bould and Adams.
If they'd have been on the books of the Sheffield clubs, they'd never have played, neither of them.
