Crowd noise today

I was watching in the pub as I couldn’t get to the game today. Have to say a big thanks to everyone there - the noise was incredible. From start to finish, the singing was fantastic. If we can get that going next season BDTBL will be a cauldron that no one will want to come to - brilliant effort everyone

The Kop was magnificent. I had one of my rare forays in the South Stand today - great view but much quieter - but am pleased my season ticket for 2019/20 is on the Kop.

Great support, and for Ipswich too.

We had 10 men of the match for me today. All were outstanding.

My throat is killing me and my hands are actually sore from clapping, I've even still got the lump in my throat that arrived at the final whistle, as the relief arrived!!

The best today was one of the first couple of Jack O'Connell songs after his goal, we sang it in unison for once.

Jack's already impressive stature grew by about 3 feet, his chest puffed out and he was gliding about like 10 men.

Right at the end after all the players had walked round the pitch and were disappearing down the tunnel, the Greasy Chip Butty anthem rang out from all sides and for the first time ever I was that choked up with emotion I couldn’t sing along.

Nope. Well, they may have done but it was that loud that different stands were singing different songs and could hardly tell!

The emotion got to me a bit at the final whistle too as I thought about my dad and how much he would have enjoyed watching this United side. Then after everyone had gone, there was a chap of similar age to me who was helping his dad down the Kop steps and that made me blub like a big baby.

Never forget this day.

United fans thrive on being the underdog, it’s when we make the most noise.
The polar opposite of when we are massive favourites like we were in league 1, when sometimes our support was quiet.

If 2007 the media commented many times that Bramall Lane was one of the noisiest stadiums in the Premier League and I expect the same again next season.

Me too, my boys had to contend with a pissed and blubbering dad saying how I have supported this club all my life and no longer will people be asking “what league do they play in?” whilst wearing the sort of expression that your mum had when you got home from school and told her that the pretty girl in the class won’t go out with you.

Incredible noise on the kop towards the end of the game I was unable to hear what was being said over the tannoy and that is very loud where I sit.

My Uncle has sat with me for the last 10 years is in hopsital after a big op (cancer) and is hopefully on the mend but gutted he missed the finish after being there all season till this last month...I had my son with me who loved the day but I also thought about my own Dad (his final game was the 4-3 Forest) before he died later that year. He would have loved this team and how they played.

My son could not stop smiling and this morning got up, ran downstairs and said can we watch the game (playback on Sky) again Dad!

I think everyone was a bit emotional for various reasons, which added to it.

I'm was just so pleased for son, and all other younger Blades of his age who have witnessed nothing but utter shite but grown up going to Crewe, Bury etc. And frankly I was sure they would never get the chance to see us compete with Premiership teams.

Also for the team and management. This feels so special due to them. A bit like the Bassett team, but better if possible.
No superstars on 50k a week, no prima donnas, players who were in Division One a couple of years ago, sold by clubs who deemed them not good enough but who have created a unique style of play that is a joy to watch and won many plaudits playing teams with far bigger budgets, better known players etc. and still dismissed by some.

Next season will be tough, there is no denying that, but if we keep the core of players and belief in how we play we will surprise a few teams, if there are any left who are arrogant enough to dismiss us.
