He said that he had now witnessed the bladesfans as loud away from home. He thanked us all for the wonderful support. He went on to say that it gives the players a major lift and that we can be the 12th man

Good on you Richard

He is in my good books again. I thought he was past it last season but he could be a force this season. Also think he is a battler, which is what we need.

If we carry on getting results like that, then as they say in show-biz, HE AINT HEARD NOTHING YET. Utb.

he can stfu for me. he was poor again and although he "battled" for the goal and for one other attack he didn't have the legs for the rest of the game. I reckon I could do as well as him for 6k less a week.

What? Cresswell was very good today, did all the things you'd hope a centre forward would do. Lead the line, put himself about, encouraged some of the younger players on top of scoring. An 8 or 9 out of 10 from me.

Yes, but he was absolutely rubbish at controlling the forearm smashes to his face. ;)

I thought he and Porter really struggled 1st half but Cressy certainly livened up after the break.

He has a lot to prove this season to justify his big wage but performances like the second half will help his cause.

Was plesently surprised when I heard Creswelll on Radio Shef after the game. He is an intelligent, articulate and dignified man. It is not often you say that about a footballer and I do not use the words lightly. He was very complimentary of his colleagues, the team and the fans. An excellent interview that really warmed me to him.

As for his performance, well it was a Cresswell of 09/10. He was poor (with a poor touch, not strong enough and not good enough in the air) but worked damn hard and scored a goal. Personally I do not mind him being average if he scores. Plus his work rate is very good. He is on the pitch to score goals and today he did that. I hope it is the sign of things to come. Top banana Cressy: keep up the good work :)

Well he's a Dronfield lad isn't he? That would explain the intelligent, articulate and dignified bit :) Would also explain him playing for both Sheffield teams too :)
