Credit to him for being honest in his match verdict, he could have just said glad we finally ended them but he focused on the match verdict rather than his relief that we beat our bogey team, nice to hear his last comment as well (you all know what I mean)

Did he finally admit, and was honest enough to say he has got this whole Hanson thing badly wrong ?

Whoefully inadequate once again. It's now gone beyond not being a positive influence on the side. His very presence on the field is in fact detrimental. When he is directly involved in play, our offensive build up play breaks down around 80%-90% of the time.

And I'll now go on record, having now seen more than enough to make the call, to say Lavery won't cut the mustard for us either.

All others more than adequate.
Slight ? On Lundstrum.
Duffy MOM.
Please for Ched.

Hanson has got to go season long loan to L1 or L2 that's his level.

What's all this Brayford doesn't care nonsense? Seems well chuffed after we scored. If Ched can be resurrected why can't Brayford? Wilder is the master at bringing players back from the abyss.

Glad you've moved on after saying the same things about Leon for 8 months of last season.

Agree with Hanson, strongly disagree with Lavery. He looked decent Saturday, has pace, direct, box of tricks why won't he make a good contribution???

Lavery ran his socks off all game chasing the defenders down and did all he could. Oh and your stating Lundstram is more than adequate? He was the worst player on the pitch tonight. Gave the ball away every time he touched it. Passing was awful and he's the slowest midfielder I think I've ever seen. I honestly think he isn't good enough and he hasn't got a prayer of getting in our 1st XI

Fleetwood showed that we had a big big weakness, just sit back defending deep in numbers with occasional fast breaks and we would struggle to score. We did the same against `Shrewsbury and Bury at home.

We lacked any kind of physicality up front and used EEL as a make shift striker.
Surprisingly the lump it up to EEL tactic worked well.

Our promotion push was in danger of floundering, teams had found our weakness.
So master tactician brings in Hanson and then our weakness had gone.

In the early stages EEL played a massive factor is getting us promoted
And in the latter part Hanson played a massive part because teams were no longer able to park the bus and defend in numbers.

Agree though at Championship level I doubt that the situation will arise much when tactically we need Hanson.

At least Ched looked impressive tonight and it looks like he's still got it.

Couldn't disagree more with you on Lavery and I really do wonder what you've seen to make such a catastrophically wrong deduction????

Did he once shag your bird or nick a parking spot off you in Tesco??

Don't think Brayford had a bad game, wasn't outstanding but decent enough to say he's trying to get into a team that he's very much on the edge of.
Still over the moon to see Evans come on in the red n white and pick up like he left off last time he wore the shirt at the lane (say what you like, my bonfire is big), I'm chuffed for him.
Was hoping Brooks would score, but a full game in the first team under his belt.
Bennett looked tasty, bit of polishing and one for the future!
Eastwood also had a decent match, fleck n Bash, they speak for themselves anyway, consistent week in/out.

Was interesting tonight being on the South Stand, fairly near the front. Seeing our Christopher up close & personal, as it were.

He certainly doesn't fuck about (even when he's only got half a voice). Funniest moment: hearing him screaming at Caolan Lavery to get up, just after CL had been completely flattened & was in a heap on the ground. Probably didn't get up quick enough. He got subbed about 3 minutes later.

we were bloody terrible for 75 mins. Duffy was MoM , but that didn't mean much. Ched did ok, nothing more. I hope there were plenty of scouts watching Brooks tonight because he will be staying on that performance. Lundstrum terrible in the first half, got better second half. Thomas was only good thing first half. Lavary and Hanson be gone in January I think. But, we won! Beaten our bogy team soo not a bad night in the end.

Yes.

That's exactly it.

Our 4th choice striker (soon to be 5th when AN other arrives) boned our lass on the bonnet of my car while parked in Tescos.

The scoundrel !

Lavery will have a key role to play when we switch to one up top with Lavery and either Thomas or Brooks supporting the main striker.

It's not all about the first xi, our squad players like Lavery at the minute will all have a key role to play.

In 2nd rate egg cup matches in front of a few thousand, maybe.

But don't kid yourself he isn't 4th / 5th choice. And Wilder clearly isn't impressed !

It's early doors with Lundstram and we need to give him time to settle in. Agree he was poor tonight, almost invisible in fact but let's give him some bedding in time

Lavery is crap! There, I have said it! He might score goals in league 2, I think I'm a more natural goal scorer than he is!

Lavery will be useful coming of the bench this season, he's got that bit of pace up top that we're lacking.

As for Hanson, yes Championship is probably beyond his level. But I guarantee you there will be times this season when we're all over teams, needing to get a goal, but just unable to break them down. Going into the last 5 minutes when things start to get desperate, I can't think of many better guys to bring on for the long balls, corners & free kicks.

You're entitled to your opinion, Dronnie but to be quite honest I think it's bollocks on this occasion and Wilder will use Lavery more than you think this season.

Which might be useful if someone could actually manage to get his feet off the ground.

Actually loses height when he "jumps" for the ball. Baffling !!

Agree,
Hanson is like a DIY man having a sledge hammer.
It's rare anyone ever uses or needs a sledge hammer but when the situation arises it's a fantastic tool for the job.
Hanson is exactly the same, he's a tactical option that most managers require every now and then.

I want all our players to do well, I really do, but Lavery and Hanson aren't good enough for the Championship. Carnt really say anything about the new players yet because its too soon, but put it this way, Coutts has Nothing to worry about for the distant future!
