was on radio that it was the analysis that came back is the lesser evil
its like they used to bend wood to make boat hulls
his leg bent round his foot, he could curtail his time out quite considerably ,plus he will be sea worthy

They didn't bend the wood in a split second round a blokes foot though.

Could well be true. I had one as a kid and had a pot on my arm for less than three weeks.

The photos don't really show much. It can often look much worse in a single shot. How many people have seen a photo of an actual leg being broken, other than that, to compare with? A broken leg can be anything from a crack in the bone to a complete break with the bones penetrating the flesh and sticking out.

Big Vern is pretty enthusiastic when it's invoice night.

Too early for the pigs game imo.

I'm sure there was an official statement made by teh club but I can't find it

I'm also sure they confirmed he is out for the remainder of the season. If this rumour of a Greenstick injury is true, then why have the club made that statement?

I pray of course the rumour is correct, but I have serious doubts

I thought he'd had surgery????????

From the usual, someone a friend works with, is a friend of coutts Family member who said...

That its actually an internal fracture of the bone and not a break, heals much faster and coutts could be as back as soon as 6-8 weeks. Something called a Greenstick fracture and why he didnt need surgery.

Might be bollocks, might not be, dont shoot the messenger :D
Sorry mate (and I know that I can call you mate because you are a mate ;)) but it is bollocks!

As I mentioned on here last week, despite what has been said 'officially', it is a 'double' fracture (tib and fib) and he did have surgery which included pins!
He'll be back, but not as quick as being suggested!

If Couttsy drinks loads of milk, like Mr. T used to, will that help him return quicker?

Milk's supposed to be good for bones you know.

No surgery. He's got a greenwood fracture that bends your leg like a boat. Only happens with children, or adults. Could be back in half a hour if they amputate, but could be six to eight weeks they can get the pot off in time. Expect a confusing statement from Wilder stating he's out for the season. Hope it clears things up.

If that is true, what is there to gain by the club stating it is just the Tibia and no surgery required?

I don't get that?

Just think, if his leg heals up without straightening back out properly we could have another Garrincha on our hands.

Mind games successfully performed on the subscribers to this forum by the looks of things.

Seriously, even if there's a chance he might be back earlier, I don't think they'll say. It's best to errr on the side of caution.

Exactly. Best to say he is out for the season anyway.
