Could we do a Sunderland?

We're note likely to go down again than piss the league like a lot reckoned a couple of weeks back. However I imagine we'll finish lower mid table.

I'm more concerned that we'll finish below Wednesday in the next few seasons, once they worm their way out of their latest troubles like they always do.

Quite easily.

Momentum can work both ways.

Imagine what going a WHOLE season without a win would do to the squads confidence.

It might seem unlikely but can you say 100% that this may not happen.

We need to act, quickly and decisively.

.

We are 100% more likely to go down again than come straight back up.

ask yourself how many championship sides would have more than 2 points in half a season? it’s AT LEAST 15 for me.

We aren’t suddenly going to start scoring goals with ZERO Creativity. The whole things needs ripping down to the studs for me now. Something is broken with this side now - no goals and can’t defend

Wednesday have had more managers this season than we have points. Sheffield is in a mess. Loved it when we’re both in the PL brief in the early nineties. Will that ever happen again? Not in my lifetime.

They're a shambles alright but they'll stay up. Once the EFL bottles punishing them for their cashflow/accounts issues they'll be set for another lower mid-table finish next season, which I suspect is roughly where we'll finish.

I actually think we're a worse Premier league side than they ever were, but weirdly I think we're far better equipped for life in the championship than they were. We don't have the big earners and players who won't be up for playing in the championship, we do have a lot of championship experience.

We have an absolutely excellent championship strike force, the numbers back me up on that. The midfield needs work though and I'm guessing we'd have to replace at least one of the back line.

Ultimately I think we're far better championship side than Sunderland were, obviously it depends what happens transfer wise, but no, we won't do that. It won't be easy though, we'd need to get off to a decent start.

Yep I agree (unfortunately) but it’s a sad state of affairs that a city the size of Sheffield is in such a footballing mess. Bragging rights to bloody Barnsley.

Yes and that is the worry! Look at the team on paper, lower championship team at best, honestly, and it breaks my heart but we could slip back to Div one easily. Those of you are thinking about a return ticket are fucking deluded, really are! UTB

Yes, spot on, the start will be monumental next season for us. God, worrying about August already!

I'm certainly not advocating getting rid of Wilder but I've said for weeks that if this run continues for most of the season people are kidding themselves if they think everything will suddenly pick up come August.

I don’t think we’re THAT bad.

Whether or not we will continue to be worse than them remains to be seen, but most measurable criteria suggests that we are worse than they were at this stage of the season.

After 16 games they had 11 points, had won 3 matches, scored 13 goals and had managed to keep a clean sheet.

Goals against is the only area where we come out on top. They had conceded 28 goals after 16 games which is one more than us.

That's simply not true though, it's easy to feel that way, because of how poor we've been. But we've got loads of players who've excelled at Championship level : McBurnie has a phenomenonal scoring record, Brewster was excellent last season, Bogle was good for Derby. That's not to mention the squad that got us promoted in the first place, Norwood's record in the championship is fantastic, even though we're now seeing why he hadn't a chance in the Premier league.

We're looking at out team with injuries and picking out individuals that wouldn't be great, even at championship level. All of which are back ups, same could be said for just about any championship side. My evidence for this is Max Lowe was a perfectly fine championship player, he looks stand out poor in our side.

Our issue would confidence and momentum, not a lack of quality.

i agree with you weve got a great squad of championship players that simply are not good enough for the premier league yes morale will be rock bottom but all these fans on here suggesting we will struggle in the championship are forgetting one vital point and to use our porky neighbours term theres a massive difference between the premier league and championship nowadays norwich are proving that this season
