It's borderline negligent that it wasn't a priority in January

Tbh cooper just had one of best seasons in his life & 2nd best keeper in the league, he pretty much played all of last season.

I can understand why we gambled with a cheap cover in davies again. But now we are feeling the squeeze of no one being able to challange him and his body not been made for football.

I think it’s dependent on if there are no senior goalkeepers at the club available to play. Davies will be seen as a senior goalkeeper based on how many games he’s played, so I think this means we have to play him and we’d only qualify for an emergency loan should Davies get injured.

A real big mistake by the club not getting someone in January as this scenario always seemed likely. Could be back in a relegation fight considering how bad Davies is.

I was wanting United to sort it out in January, but maybe it was felt that Coops could muddle through and then we will have another look in the summer. A big blow, but then Coops has hardly been at the top of his game this season either. Another one to add to this season of cock ups and things that have gone wrong. Roll on the end of season. Lets just hope we can still go on a winning run though despite this season giving us a constant whack in the balls.

Yeah but if the only other senior goalkeeper doesn’t have functioning arms and hands then that should because for an emergency loan in my opinion.

For him as much as anything. He's wasted prime years not playing. He'll be good at L1 level

For me McGuiness has already shown his level and being 25 he is unlikely to improve. That is a poor signing that came with the last manager but I would be looking to offload. Squad number wise we need to have more reliability players that can play 35+ games a season rather than 20. We are certainly lacking in that front
