Controlling the game in the opposition half

I've stopped asking for more goals cos it's futile, it'll never catch on.

I've stopped asking us to not drop deep and defend 1 goal leads from 65 mins onwards cos it's futile.

My request now is I'd like us to try and control the ball, and therefore the game, in the opposition half. Much like Bristol did to us today.

I know it's difficult when I doubt we do any sort of attacking coaching on the training pitch. But I do live in hope.

The manager can only do so much.

I’m surprised so many are bemoaning him given the options he had from the bench. No obvious omissions in terms of the subs.

Pretty sure he didn’t whisper in their ears “now go out there, turn over possession and most of all don’t stop crosses coming in.”

The players are the ones to show composure or not. They didn’t collectively or individually but have done well over 37 matches.

We’re now actually top. Tough crowd tonight!

Said it against Leeds in the Shitbox: we turn it over so easily in the final third. Time and again I watch the opposition keep the ball far better than we do. People will blame the “risky passes” Hamer tries, but generally we get around the box and it’s hot potato stuff.
