Loads of people stating we're behind this year and are panicking at a lack of kit and lack of signings etc.

To compare against last year:

Signings
1st signing - TODAY (18th June), Dean Henderson on Loan

Our next signing didn't happen until 19th July (John Egan), followed by McGoldrick on 24th. They were our only signings before August. Woodburn and Norwood signed in early August before the deadline and Johnson and Washington signed on 31st August.

Granted now we are PL,we aren't allowed loans after the deadline like we were in the CH.

Home shirt was launched on 29th June, teasers were released on 24th onwards

Away kit was launched 12th July

Fair points - think for me it’s mainly boredom and wanting something to get excited about but

As a counterpoint though The season before and wilders first season we had a couple in on the first of June didn’t we? Fleck, Hussy, duffy and baldock were all signed early on iirc?

Agree it’s not like much has happened yet so far. Just doesn’t seem to be much of anything going on signing wise and we can’t really afford a slow start next year.

imo it is gonna be more vital than ever to have people settled in and an idea of the best side before the season kicks off.

The kits are less important to me but would be nice to get some info / peeks at it. It just seems like an easy win? Plus about half the PL have revealed theirs already.

I understand your point mate, but even on holiday there's the phone, and Chris is quite capable of instructing the club to sign whoever falls within his budget.

Must admit, it's the worst possible time for United to get their act together. You really couldn't have written this script, let's hope we end up with owners who have a clue and allow Wilder to do his job to the best of his considerable ability.

I'm not particularly bothered about the lack of kit. That will definitely come out at some point although I do find it annoying when other teams have released their kit.

As for the signings, I'm not concerned about the lack of signings because its still early doors but I am concerned that we seem to be going back for Kieran Dowell. That number 10 spot is arguably the most important in our team in my view. As we don't have out an out winders we rely so much on the number 10 to provide much of the creativity to the side.

If Dowell's to be our main man in the number 10 role I'd be very disappointed. He needs another season in the Championship in my humble opinion.

Freeman would be a much better option.

As good as Duffy is, we need someone better than Duffy, not worse. That's not taking anything away from Duffy who I think can be a threat next season but he's not going to start every game or finish many games and we need someone quality to give him that competition. I don't think Dowells ready yet.

Did we release as many players at the end of the 17/18 season? I think we need more players than last summer and we need to up the quality,

There’s still plenty of time but If we get to the middle of July this year with only two players having arrived I’d be a little concerned.

They've already bought Jota though but you might be right mate, they seem to be linked with buying the same players as us. I don't want to be harsh on Dowell but he didn't impress me last season.

I thought he was good when he got up to speed with the game, but that took a bit too long. I don't doubt that'd improve if he came back though.

Just think he'd be too much for where he is. A few million punt I'd be over the moon, but it'll be up nearer £10m so it's a no from me at that price.

I thought he looked decent at first, then he dipped and Duffy was in the team ahead of him until right near the end. I wouldn't want Dowell for even a few million unless we send him out on loan because I don't think he's ready for the PL. I do think he could be a good player in time.

After watching that wan-bissako tonight, if £60m is the premier league value of shit like that, I rather us not sign anyone than waste money on something like that.
