Ok only just saw that he got a hat-trick tonight against a relegation threatened team but appears to have a relatively decent record, one to consider in the summer? Done and Clarke will surely be moving out so definitely need another striker.

I hope we start to cherry pick the players who have done really well on loan from bigger clubs in league one and maybe even league two; giving them championship experience could be really beneficial to all concerned!

I can imagine both Vaughan and Mcaleny are being looked at. Mcaleny had a poor game against us a few weeks back. But that's his second hat trick this season and I think he only went to them in Jan.

A quick google search Alan Knill signed him on loan a few years ago to Scunny. So will know all about him.

Didn't realise he was 24, I assumed he'd be younger. Out of contract at the end of the season as well.

I hope/expect it will be quality over quantity during the summer's recruitment. While McAleny has done fairly well at Oxford, is quite highly rated by their supporters and would be available in the summer, I'd be amazed if CW & co feel he's 'the one' that will take the club onto the next level next season (if Utd get up of course) - will he ever be selected over Sharp, Lavery, Hanson, Clarke + AN Other?

Grabbed a couple more today. Doesn't matter now but shame we didn't get loans like that during our stay in league one. Will probably be good enough next year but as the above poster says he wouldn't likely move us dramatically forward

released, so is on a free, can play on the wing has a good shot scored 11 in the second half of the season & has genuine pace!

Oxford will be all over him and he's guaranteed a starting spot there. Could definitely play in the championship so will be interesting to see where he ends up

Too similar a type of player to Sharp. Wouldn't get a game at Utd barring an injury crisis. Other, better options available if CW is indeed after another striker to add something different i.e. pacy, skillful, potential game changer
