How on earth has he made a career out of being a professional footballer?

Can we terminate his loan in January and use the money to sign a propper centre forward?

I bloody hope so. If we're going to have a fairly useless lump up there can they at least win some headers.

I genuinely think Higdon is better, and that shows how bad Sammon must be.

I think ten bob head / foot is here for the season.

At least he makes up for it with his physical presence......:tumbleweed:

At least Salmon can move. I think Higdon is better in the air (but not by much) but he has the mobility of a hippo with a broken leg trying to reverse a dumper truck with no tyres.

He's certainly not what we need, and to be fair to Sammon, we never did. Why he was signed is beyond me. We needed a big man up front and that's not really his role in the first place.

Clough once spent £1m on him. Just think about that for a minute...

We should have gone for that Sammon fella instead.

Indeed, we need some positive moves by the Board now. God knows why we signed him but surely there must be some way of sending him back and starting again with a player who fits the requirements.

What is Salmon's role then?
