I get the sentiment but their fans laughing at us?! Who cares quite frankly, its football at the end of day mate, and I look forward to the banter from them, and I've had much worst derby days from today! Its disappointing not to win but, hey its not life and death, despite what Shankly said!

It's not about affecting the result, it's about giving them ammunition to laugh at us with.

I'm now going to have to go back into work on Monday and be on the receiving end of 'thought you were going to smash us' ' Thought you were going to win 3-0'

I posted a 1 all draw was the likeliest result based on derby history. Got to say they were unrecognizable from Hillsboro game . Having not got close to us on the pitch they were vèry physical. One off and Wallace should have gone for an horrendous tackle. We have to improve our final pass . Tonight it was well below standards we have set

I think we should reflect on much things have changed around in a few months. They niggled away like the second rate outfit they’ve become, Wallace should have been sorted by the ref in the first half when he was gobbing off at every free kick, standing over the ball and trying to pick fights. Should’ve had another yellow for diving and definitely been gone after going over the top at Fleck. It was like watching a non league side in the 3rd of the cup and they’ll be celebrating that they pulled off a magnificent draw. Totally embarrassing for a team of galaticos. In the meantime we’ll move on - Wilson showed enough to suggest he’ll be a real asset and the playoffs are a real possibility whereas they are two losses from the relegation zone

I got us to win 2-0, and I was being conservative. Before we played the pigs at the sty, they were going to wipe the floor with us. Come from the pub league they said. (Way clear of Bolton, and 100pts to boot) no grounds for that comment based on our achievement. Before playing them the 1st time, we had more than held our own in La Liga, actually above them. Also other derogatory remarks about our recruitment policy, as opposed to the million pound superstars. Well all that came back to bite them on the arse. 2-4, 2 fucking 4. So no basis really to give it the big un about what they were going to do.
Now we come to the return fixture, as I said 2-0, and being conservative. And I’m sure a few more on here who thought 3,4 or even 5-0 albeit tongue in cheek. My assumption although ultimately wrong, which I make no apologies for, was based on us totally humiliating them at the sty, their indifferent form since then, and the cuop de grace, gettin tonked by fucking Burton. I was wrong, they came with a plan, and it worked.
Finally, I don’t give a flying fuck what their fans think of me and my prediction, any thought a pig as, is totally irrelevant as far as I’m concerned. They and their shithole, is an embarrassment to the city.

Wow, I bet you left the game early because you couldn't wait to get home and post this thread. Ok then, I'll own up to this one as I posted on Thursday evening that I thought we'd win comfortably by 3 - 1.

I'm as disappointed as the next Blade about the game, the result and of course, the performance. I'm not going to resort to insulting you or accusing you of being a pig because some replies you've had are unacceptable and uncalled for, even though it could be argued that you invited such comments.

What's prompted me to respond is your comment that you're going into work on Monday dreading a going over by the Wednesdayites at your place. Why? Have you been guilty of giving them some stick in the past? Monday 25th September 2017 springs to mind perhaps.

You and half of Sheffield will be going through the same experience on Monday morning. So what? We'll always have the memories of that fabulous afternoon last September to throw back at them when they start giving it the big time Owl routine.

Some advice for Monday: Grin and bear it, give em some back, grow some bollocks.

But I get what your saying, however if you think that had any effect on thier players you’d be wrong, I’d suggest the shitstorm they walked into at the ground had a bigger effect on motivating them, just like it does to us when we go to swills..

When I saw that video late last night, I knew where thier (from out of nowhere) performance came from..you can thank the idiots outside calling them wankers as they walked in and firing them all up - possibly uniting them, pardon the pun..
