His story probably isn’t being spoken about enough by a wider audience.

He was playing Sunday League a few years ago. This calendar year, he’s been arguably one of the most exciting players in English football. Now he’s going to the World Cup.

Senegal are no mugs either looking at some of the names in their squad.

His journey has been fairly remarkable and will only get better.

I don't think Alan Kelly actually played, although he was in the Ireland squad so I reckon it was Jostein Flo for Norway in 1994.

Because I like Ndiaye and he's a Blade. It's not rocket science Einstein.

Why?

Well I would swing that question around and say 'why should he'?

I'm English and proud to be so, but that doesn't make it obligatory to have to support the England football team. It's just a bunch of lads from England playing another bunch of lads from other countries at the end of the day. I have grown up supporting England and always wanted them to win purely because I'm English. That said as I've got older and the players representing the English FA (and they are a bunch of crusty old mutual backslappers who look after themselves) are all multi millionaires and totally unassociated with the likes of me in their privileged lives. I have nothing in common with any of those players playing for England at this world cup.

So purely because I'm English I hope they win it but I probably won't bother to watch much if any of the tournament. Being honest I couldn't give a rats twat what they do. I have the chance to watch the game next week but will choose to work as normal. I'll watch the final though if they get to it. So if someone wants to support another country then good for them. Their choice. Might be any reason why they want to support that team.
