If warlock comes back it would be a backward step!

Hearing from a good, reliable source that Danny Wilson has left Sheffield United #sufc #twitterblades

The Radio Sheffield live stream thingy isn't working, presumably because of increased demand or something. And I'm off to work in two hours. Smegson until the end of the season would liven things up on here.

There is another possibility - that the rumour is untrue but the Club have decided to say nothing in the hope that it will provoke a reaction from the players. (But are they smart enough to think of that?).

Can't help but feel sorry for him. Last season would've been a memorable one if a court case hadn't gone against us and it was always going to be difficult to cope with the loss of Evans, Lowton, Williamson, and Quinn this time round.

Fascinated to find out what has driven him to resign (assuming he has). Takes a lot to step away from an ongoing promotion battle and a pay off. Would love to think the players will struggle to sleep tonight but they won't.

Thanks Danny.

(obviously the above might be the most irrelevant post ever if he's still there!)

It's advice like that which is going to see this thread the most viewed one on the forum this week...

And considering Mrs T has shuffled off this week that's saying something....

Can only echo that sentiment. Feel desperately sorry for him.

From a man close to Warnock

Heard the rumours about Neil Warnock going back to Sheff U. Just spoke to him. He's in Cornwall. "Not me, son," he said.

Because being in Cornwall would be a complete barrier to anything happening with Warnock. No possible way to communicate with someone as far away as that....

Morgs is the obvious available choice. He's respected throughout the club, he will be beating his chest prior to games. He actually knows from the U21s who is ready and who isn't. Irrespective of results, there's only 2 or 3 who can step up.

He can get a further spark from the crowd as well.

Should we be lucky enough to get to Wembley he wouldn't put up with a "no show"

He'll be forgiven if it doesn't work for whatever reason.

Obviously he isn't fit enough to play centre back any more but he can't do any worse than our strikers if he was to play himself. ;)

He also might not have a clue how to be a manager as he is part of the problem at the moment but he would be the cheap option which is popular with the board.

Agreed on feeling sorry for Danny. We were desperately unlucky last season in a number of ways. Anyone who says we weren't has an agenda against the man himself.

He's struggled this season for various reasons and I understand the reasons for him going.

I get the feeling that he's resigned and we're trying to persuade him to stay.

If he has resigned I hope we aren't. We don't need someone who doesn't think he should be here at the moment.

When I heard I thought no chance but then think about it..

Kitson went off injured and has apparently been struggling with a migraine then all of a sudden plays 90mins... And a bad 90mins at that. He's been taken off a 70mins before when playing well

No... but from what I've been reading around, some people seem to be under the impression that he's still at United and it'd be a piece of piss to move him from the Academy... when he isn't there any more.

Not me, I'm well aware that he left us for Forest but he got the chop from there when Davies took over.
As far as I know he's unemployed at the moment isn't he?
Surely it would be a "piece of piss" to persuade an out of work coach to take a manager's job?

It seems like I'm one of the first to say this on here, but if it is true then I am a little bit gutted. He was desperately unlucky last season. Given the players we lost and limited funds to bring in new players, we are in a better league position than I imagined at the start of the season.

@TSF Rumours, and I stress rumours, that Wilson went after being forced to play you against his will. Anything in that? #sufc #twitterblades
