[CONFIRMED] Richard Cresswell joins York City on Loan

Richard Cresswell has joined York City on loan.

The striker, who began his career with the Minstermen, will remain at Bootham Crescent until 20th April.

"This is an opportunity for Richard to go and play, his chances have been limited here in recent months. We've got a call back option on him should it be required and I think he will do well up there."

Cresswell has made just three starts for the Blades this season and played in Monday's U21s encounter against Leicester City.

Considering our inspired leader replaced Ironside with Porter on Saturday this may not be the case.

His 'coaching' role was to get him off the playing staff payroll, for the purposes of the salary cap rules.
