Richard Cresswell has joined York City on loan.

The striker, who began his career with the Minstermen, will remain at Bootham Crescent until 20th April.

"This is an opportunity for Richard to go and play, his chances have been limited here in recent months. We've got a call back option on him should it be required and I think he will do well up there."

Cresswell has made just three starts for the Blades this season and played in Monday's U21s encounter against Leicester City.

I had a feeling he would end up there. He still lives in York I think

Would love to see him score the goals that keep York up. This surely means there's a forward coming in. Or maybe it was Porter :(

Apparently the Whitehouse/Ironside combination did well in Monday's under 21 game. Maybe that's the way things are moving.

Hope you have the desired impact Richard. A true pro who does his best every time he takes the field.

I thought he was on the coaching staff....... or is that just a tax fiddle?

Good luck to him, always worked hard and gave his all, got to admire him for that.

His 'coaching' role was to get him off the playing staff payroll, for the purposes of the salary cap rules.

Allegedly....

Hope they get relegated and he takes the player/manager job in the Conference replacing the obnoxious piggy bastard now in charge.
Always quite liked the Minstermen but my hatred of wanker Worthington means I wish nothing but shit on them at the moment.
