The question was that whoever Swindons defence was, they performed really poorly, conceding a whopping 72 goals and yet despite that Wilson didn't seem to play him much, so I'm questioning how good he is not being able to get in the side. If the defence was that poor, shouldn't he have been given his chance?

If you want to throw a few stats around, in the 21 games he played last season they conceded 28 goals :)

How did he do in the season they reached the play off final?

I'm sure I read somewhere he had an injury hit stop start season last year maybe a reason to him not playing much.
Or maybe Wilson is doing to us what warnock said he would do to the pigs if he got the job there.

And even after a couple of years at United, I still don't think anyone knew for certain how to spell Katchouro's surname

Colquhoun - the most difficult footballers name to spell ever without looking it up........FACT.

Will you be as happy with signing JP McGovern who is next to be signed??

Went to a mates yesterday for a bbq and he playing 5 a side with JP Mc last week (JP obviously doesn't normally play just helps fitness) and JP himself said he was joining us

He was taking the piss, he aint signing for us.

Known as Marmite over Swindon neck of the woods.

They either love him, or hate him

Known to do somat awesome occasionally, followed by some right clangers!

I still can't fathom out why Wilson chose to sign someone who was at a club that shipped 72 goals last season and yet Wilson still wouldn't give him a game?

Strange and makes me wonder why if he wasn't good enough for Wilson at Swindon, why is he good enough for us now?

I suppose all will be revealed

For godsake, don't dare question the wisdom of signing a 4th Division player who wasn't good enough for Swindon last season, in a team that got relegated.

His former team are now in the 4th division, that doesn't make him a 4th division standard player. He played 40 games in the season when they reached the play-offs.
He missed games through injury last season and there was a small matter of his sister and relatives going missing following the earthquake, give the guy a bit of slack.

Lets at least give him a chance. We only paid 50 grand for a certain Mr Kenny look how good he turned out to be.
He has cost nowt only wages he could be a star or he could belong on skeggy beach. Lets hope he is a star in the making.

>I suppose if we signed Messi you'd say he's all left foot, can't tackle or head the ball
and he's too small.. going back to the eighties.. if we'd have signed a young and unheard of briane deane from donny these days it would be.. 'groan.. another marcus bent.. never heard of him'.. give the guy a chance.. seriously

The problem sp, is that a lot of football supporters are unrealistic and you see that in abundance on here. Many just aren't willing to recognise where we are and as a result what sort of players we can sign. Any players that come in now will disappoint because they will not be household names. It doesnt bother some of us because we've come to terms with our position and are taking the broad minded view that there are good players to be had in the lower leagues.

What I find most bemusing is when people say we have to get rid of the likes of Hendo and Ched because they cost too much and then suggest players who are on even bigger wages at other clubs!???? I'm afraid its time to wave goodbye to the Kevin Phillips', Andy Reid's and Helge Riise's of this world. Time to say hello to the likes of Jean-Francois Lescinel and Billy Paynter!

And that Kilgannon fellow who apparently played for us a couple of years back.
