Although he seems a decent bloke, this was an unnecessary loan which we inexplicably turned into a permanent deal.

Comes across as an honest down-to-earth sort, but clearly not able to compete at this level. His and Robson's signings appear to be desperate wastes on reflection. I do wonder if we even bothered scouting either or gave them contracts on reputation alone.

Sell? that would suggest we got paid something for him. More likely we paid them to take him. No offense to the guy but he joined us about 5 yrs too late

Agreed no massive loss and as said I think we got him beyond his better days and even league one looked beyond him.

No love lost but can't knock the lad, reading his tweets he sounded like he really wanted to be involved at The Lane but didn't feature in Weirs plans and got the cold shoulder. He wasn't on heaps from what I hear but could have sat back with his contract and picked up the wages for nothing coming towards the end of his career but he's gone out to play football and Chester will be paying a contribution towards his salary i'm sure.

Shit as he may have been for us, the football at that level is completely different and Chester have been smashed to shit in every match they've played this season.
