Blackman threads merged, as mentioned on our Twitter - Officially confirmed to Reading, Undisclosed fee, 3.5 year contract. Paperwork still to be completed, but is a formality.

It was the contents of the satchels wot done it!

??

This satchel??

Shame this. Saw him at crawley and even out wide looked at highernlevel than most out there. Lets hope we can add a couple of shrewd signings bu tom to kick start our push again.

A reporter for the Reading post was reporting it was between £1.2m and £1.5m earlier on, this was before it was confirmed he'd lef

Not another undisclosed deal! About time the fans who pay their money week in week out actually get to see what their players are worth when being sold. Makes me laugh when you read that piece on the wall in the club shop 'all profits made go back into the squad.' Even though I'm disappointed seeing Blackman go, I would hope it is for the rumoured price of £1.2M-£1.5M and we get some decent replacements in before 11pm tomorrow night! UTB!!!

when its time to renew season tickets and they want your debit card number, just say im sorry but thats an undisclosed number.

Could have been specified on the part of either club.

It also helps in the deals we're trying to tie up if we aren't officially confirming what money we've just "received".

There is not a chance on this planet that the undisclosed fee could Not be found out by people within the football fraternity.

you will see the total amount of transfer fees in the accounts....why is it important that we know the individual fees ? What does it matter ? Many fans won't believe what the club say it was anyway

Doesn't mean fuck all when it won't get reinvested properly. Could be £10m, makes not fucking difference

I think there is more in than Palace interested in Blackman.
I can't see him staying but who knows at this stage.

What I'd like to know is where it's been clarified that this is a McCabe decsion not Wilsons.
Has Wilson said he is being sold against his wishes?
From a managerial point of few a couple of million for a player who cost nothing in the summer, and is being played out of position, is a logic you can follow. He gets to bring a few in, has a young academy player who can come into Blackmans position, in tight economic times is it not a sensible move to make?
Problem with sensible is the crap left at the club is just not good enough.

Or

or has he been told ' you can bring in trialists, but if you want experience,Blackman has to go'

Undisclosed - shock horror. We didn't see that coming.

It means one of 3 things;

We've capitulated for a paltry amount
Whatever we've had, we'll be reinvesting a fraction
Both of the above

Let's see what "excitement" tomorrow brings. Heaven help us if the players coming in are actually the triallists.

OK then.

So according to the FFP rules, and assuming for argument's sake we're already at our spending limit, does this sale mean that any replacements' combined wages cannot exceed those of Blackman's?

Or does the sale add to the turnover figure, thus meaning our limit is extended?

well what can i add to this topic that hasnt already been said? get used to it while ever we are in this division we are losing money and the sale of our "better" players is inevitable. we are a selling club! and any future players that do well will also be "for sale" and you lot had better get used to it. maguire will leave in the summer for sure and i for one wouldnt be surprised, sad but true. Blackman isnt that good in my opinion but his goals have got him noticed so an offer is made and away he goes, f*ck the supporters eh? what did we do to deserve the way we are treat by our beloved football club? 3rd tier football, ex pig as manager and a chairman from hell and still somehow getting 17k-19k inside the lane? rant over (a disgruntled blade)
I am afraid danny`s pig credentials are going to rankle with ever more fans now, as his tactical nous has been exposed as lacking, the team is losing games, etc etc..season is over already, how long can danny last?

Think it is an excellent bit of business for the club getting rid of Nick Blackman.

Didn't like him, didn't rate him, and i won't miss him sending shots flying to Row Z of the kop when he was better placed to pass to 2 or 3 men.

Wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes under Bassett

or Reading don't want to be seen to be paying over the odds for a League 1 player (who says it was us that wanted it undisclosed?)

Now its all about who if anyone comes in. No one and its going to be very frosty on Friday night

what has DW's ex club got to do with with how SUFC and DW are performing ?

We can spend the transfer money and Blackman's wage. Also Philliskirk (for whaever that was) Apparently there was money available for signings if Blackman had stayed. SO in theory say Philliskirk was £500 per week and Blackman £2k then we have £2.5k per week before the 1.2 million comes into play.

Reading are a premier league team with an income between £50M and £100M per year. I sincerely doubt anyone there gives a flying fuck if they paid £500K or £2.5M
