9 What if he ended up in Jail?
In the pantheon of Sheffield United greats, Nick Blackman will hardly feature up there - but at this moment in time, he's still one of our better players and we're selling him off with less than a week of the JTW left.
As Latters has said above, and as we've seen all too well over the last few years, when you sell your better players you become worse as a team. I'm not entierely sure there's much more left to flog off?
To be fair Rodders, you did say we should sack them all and start again a couple of weeks ago...
What a complete and utter fuck up of a club we support at the moment!!!!!
^ Those reasons are exactly why he is the best signing the club has made in a long fecking time.
I cannot believe the stupidity of people thinking that selling our only attacking player (bar miller) will, be good for us? "ahh get a couple of mil for him, that'l be great!" " He's a loose cannon and shoots at poor angles etc"
News flash, the lad actually shoots and scores unlike the rest of the crap in our squad. How the hell are we suppose to score with such a shite, moronic, and heartless midfield who cannot get a decent ball up to the strikers if their life depended on it.
The only player who we have at the moment whose movement is good, runs at people and is actually exciting to watch. He has a good delivery, a good penalty....... and people just moan about im being greedy, jesus how does anyone get anywhere without being greedy. You have to be an utter retard to think taking money for him now will be better in the long term. The money will be nowhere near the estimates of millions and will go to fuck all to replace him.
My good lord the ignorance, and retarded nature of people's minds astonishes me.
Olle your going to be out of pocket with those odds you gave Kenilworth and the rest on cov taking over us.

This is one we agree on Kempy.
There is only us who would part with their leading scorer at this stage of the season and still in with a real shout of promotion.
There is far more pluses to Blackmans game than faults.
Hes been played out of position on the wing i personally beleive he was more potent as an out and out frontman and i reckon if Wilson like many on here have said would have brought a half decent winger/provider in his tally would have been greater.
I know it doesn't help us this season but i would've been more disappointed with the sale of Miller. We now need to bring in a decent winger to replace him. Blackman is definately a good player. He would be an excellent player if he didn't hog the ball. We could've killed most teams off at home if he'd actually pass the ball.

I feel very........meh.......![]()
Unless the money really does represent an offer we couldn't refuse (e.g. £1.5m+) then I think it's a really poor sale. He does have flaws in his game but he can also do a lot of things that I don't see anyone else in the squad doing and we'll be much weaker without him.
I shouldn't be surprised by the criticism of him on here but I am - seems Young, Gifted and Black isn't a combination that always goes down well with Blades fans (repeating myself but a lot of the criticisms of him were also levelled at CKR and Kabba).
Let's see what happens with the money if he does go before we make any judgements but I'd be surprised if DW thinks anything other than he's been dumped on by the board here.
YES!!I'd struggle with us accepting £1.5M. The point is we've just bought him and his value wont go down. Sell him in the summer if we're desperate.
The current team looks totally shite at the moment. We've lost our best striker for the season. Are we really, really selling out top scorer?
UTB
So with the top scorer sold, Miller out for months, and Kitson looking increasingly unfit - who do we think will score our goals now ???????

Has he gone for sure?
It's got nothing to do with the colour of his skin Cooper. United fans will always criticise anyone who's not seen to be putting in a shift regardless of race.
Nick Blackman still classes as raw. He's definitely got the potential; it's the application and decision making which are holding him back at the moment.
He's not gonna turn down a club challenging for promotion to the prem plus a salary increase, who would?. Just hope it's a decent figure we have accepted and is invested properly in the team. Which I doubt!Hmmm actually you have a point - only seen that a fee has been agreed, although knowing the Blades he'll be halfway down the M1 already![]()
I wish us fans could have a say in this.
Who actually agrees the fee?
McCabe?
Wilson?
Wonder what Danny's thoughts are right now...
