Not shaping up too badly, still plenty of question marks on who Seles considers worthy of a squad place (Ukaki, Polendakov possibly development players?).

Crazy to think that Peck may struggle to hold a place down week in week out after last season (presume Soumare is being brought in as a starter given the size of the fee agreed if promoted). Blaster coming back from injury surely features but who drops out?

Lots of flexibility in the midfield, Hamer can push on Into O’Hares ten if necessary, One and Cannon possibly covering Left wing and upfront.

No places for Tom Davies, Moore, Shackleton and Marsh so plenty of depth in certain areas. Centre back depth still looks a concern.

Just hoping Gus hangs around, think he’s going to be mustard playing deeper in this new set up.

Looking at your (double) picture, we probably need 4 or 5 more signings though.

Not sure any of those 3 from Bulgaria can play at this level yet (possible, but doubtful). Baptiste and One (I like One but can he or Cannon really be second choice left winger)?
i think we need 14 theyre all rubbish ,,, ive joined the sceptics

Still plenty that needs to be addressed, but we’re a fair way in front of this point last pre season. Still 3 loan spots available and nearly 3 weeks before a ball is kicked competitively. I’m optimistic with the way things are going.

yes lets write them before weve seen them ,,save time
Not being negative just very realistic. All young and all brought in from inferior leagues.

Actually we're missing the Nigerian left winger here, who's supposedly the most likely to be a playable option.

“ Soumaré” ! Who hell he ?

Also, why no Keiffer?
Would image both Moore and Cannon make the bench on a Matchday. Just have a feeling that getting a tune out of Cannon will be high on the agenda.

You appear to have included Grbic in your reckoning.... we can't afford to go with him (or Davies) as back up for Cooper next season. We need way better than that if we're serious. God knows what happens if we sell Cooper a couple of games into the season....!

There is a place for Shackleton and Tom Davies - Northern General.

4 or 5 more signings needs to see at least that many outgoing first. Too many players on good money to just be sat not contributing. Shackleton, RND, Robinson, T Davies, Moore, Grbic, Caceres, Chucky. That's about £100k a week/£5m a year in wages

True, but a few of those are just write offs really aren't they. We can't actually plan to use Shackleton, RND and T. Davies unfortunately. Luckily Davies probably the only sizeable wage.

If Selles is forced to factor them into squad rotation it's not going to end well.

I don't know how it'll be done, you may be right, but from a simple outlook, we're short on quality to be confident of a promotion push.

Agreed. 6 loans returned with Souza and Brewster leaving aswell.

Bindon and Barry in so far.

Write offs still need paying. You can't just continuously add to the wage bill. It's a managers job, if the owners cantm9ve them on to try and get something out of them

Baptiste and Polendankov need removing from the initial post, especially Polendankov who's been signed as future potential.

We're still one centre back short and a right back short unless Selles is convinced by Sasnauskas at right back as cover for Seriki.

In one of his interviews Selles did say he ideally wanted a right sided CB who can also play RB so yes, you both agree.

I imagine another quality loan would be the best option.

Building a squad. Be interesting to see the squad at the end of the of window.

Any of Hamer, Peck and Anel could leave before the window. Just takes a decent bid. So, wonder if we have targets if they go?

Cooper going would be disastrous. The other 3, we kind of expected.

I think it highlights that we are lacking the depth we had last season so lets hope that we can bring in more starters in the next couple of weeks as the players we've brought in so far have a lot of question marks given that they're all young and lacking the experience at Championship level, let alone for a side hoping to be in the top half, playing to a new system, for a new manager at a new club.

If Soumares comes in, which looks likely, i can see him and Peck playing together in the middle, again, quite inexperienced when competing with some quality, physical sides.

From this set up, you've missed Moore (which others have mentioned), crucial for experience up top. And it does highlight that given the fitness and injury records of Seriki, Blaster, Davies, Campbell and Moore, we need those players to be back fit enough to play 20 games plus each.

Lets see what happens in the next week or two. It looks a little light, but again, it seems to be common now to be bringing players in up until the last moment. Lets just hope they're match fit when they do come in

I'd be surprised to see Anel around for the first game, but so far he's still with us, so that's a positive for continuity. Hamer, not sure how these rumours are in terms of translating to any sort of bid. I'd expect something from Leeds for him. And Peck, I don't see a move unless its a top end Championship or bottom end Premier League, but either way, it would be for a step forward and playing first team football.

I agree on Cooper, losing him would be a huge loss, again to stability and continuity to that spine.

This is how I see the squad shaping up so far. Three options at least, in all positions bar defensive midfield (Hamer & Arblaster could play there at a push) and right wing.

I think we're currently lacking a right sided defender who can play RB & CB (Dunne would've been a good fit in all fairness). Another defensive midfielder (hopefully Soumare plugs this gap). And maybe another right sided attacker to provide competition for Brooks. Then replace any other outgoings before the window shuts.

As for outgoings, I believe one of Davies/Grbic will likely leave the club. Ahmedhodzic will also be likely to leave this summer imo and we will need a first team replacement. I'm sure many would like Shackleton to be offloaded, but I doubt anyone will afford his wages with his injury problems also.

The likes of Robinson, RND & Moore have been wanted out by the majority of comments I've seen on here, but for the division I believe they're quite decent cover for the players they're supporting. Hopefully Nwachukwu, Caceres & Ukaki may play a part this season.

Been really impressed with our performances and set up since Selles came in, we may concede a few goals in the process with that style of play. But I really believe we're only a couple of additions away from a really positive season. UTB!

Despite his Dad being out as a dick. I suspect Anel wants to leave and the club probably are aware that this is the best chance to get any cash in on him.

I don’t know about his views personally but I’d heard a while back that Souza and Anel were both up for sale, for want of a better phrase. It would make sense if we could then replace him

Oh great, who is paying off the millions we owe them? That's simply not happening. We have to live within our means and our means. Shackleton turned down a deal at Leeds so presumably he's being paid quite a lot.

I think Anel wanted to leave last summer but was persuaded to stay on and see if we could go up/we didn't receive any big enough offers for him.

We'd be mad not to try and get some money back for him.
