Chris wilder has played for us twice and managed us twice, I can’t think of anyone who’s left and come back more than 3 times, the other obvious ones are Brian Deane and Billy sharp who both played for us on three separate occasions three times.
Anyone know of someone who has played for us on 4 separate occasions?

In all seriousness, good question though. Ched Evans had two spells but I can’t think of others of the top of my head. Hopefully Kyle Walker will be one eventually.

In most cases 2 is bad enough, Beattie, Bent, Forte are the bad ones I can think of.

Jags was semi successful 2nd time around, certainly not disgraced. Ramsdale wasn’t great but we made money on him so was a good one.

Quite a few loans to perm (Harley, Brayford) or loans for successive seasons (Hendo, McAtee) have been decent.

Keiron Freeman was a short term loan in Clough's first season wasn't he? Neil Collins was on loan under Warnock. John Egan had a short term loan for us in League 1.

3 players have played for us in 3 different spells:

Brian Deane
Billy Sharp
John Harley

No one has had 4 separate spells.

Interestingly all 3 scored in only 2 of their spells, but the missing spell was different in each case.

Sharp 1st
Harley 2nd
Deane 3rd

The cold winter nights just fly by at my house..
