Always liked our neighbours and had good banter with them over the years.
More derbies the merrier as far as i'm concerned, although Barnsley getting relegated brought a twinkle to my eye after the "Your'e keeping us up" song after the mutants had beat us a few weeks back.
Anyway good luck today at Scunny.

Always had a bit of a soft spot in the past but it soured when they all turned into Billy big bollock pig impersonators after Evans took them into the Championship.
I'll be happy for them if they go up but in all honesty couldn't care less if they rot down there for a few more seasons.

Couldn’t disagree more, always found their fans sound. Completely different to the Dingles. Loads of time for Rotherham, would love them to go up.

Maybe I just experienced an unpleasant cross section but they didn't half fancy themselves a few years back.
Otherwise you're probably right, as I said I would happily see them go up but won't lose any sleep if not.

They can fuck off.

Went round Bramall Lane and the Sty begging, received an entire gate receipt from a United home game with Reading, got offered a temporary home in Sheffield when they moved out of their shithole and yet still acted like cunts.

Every other team in the region can perish for all I care.

Unlike our other neighbours, there's no countryside between us and Rotherham, we're all part of the same urban area. Maybe we mingle a bit more. Can't really tell a Rotherham accent apart from Sheffield, but I can tell a Dingle or Chessie native isn't from Sheffield.

I too am 50/50 on Rotherham. I live in Rotherham so I have some good mates who are Rotherham fans so want them to do well for them. Having said that when they where in the championship and us in league one some of their “newer” glory fans were unbearable, some even as bad as pig fans.

Never had a problem with them and never experienced any of the delusional behaviour people mention on here.

Good luck Rotherham, do the biz and give us an easy away day journey next year!

Can never call Rotherham.

They were a joke club for years, Millmoor was falling to bits, bought Leicester’s stand but ran out of money so never completed it.
Played for years at Don Valley, nice stadium but not for football where you’re miles from the pitch. Gates down to 3000.

Then they finally build a new stadium and the club is revived.
For a new stadium I find the New York stadium impressive, gates went up to 10,000.
They are no longer a joke club and their fans have got their club back.
They’ve suffered enough, never going to be a serious rival for Sheff Utd , so good luck to em.

For six years we were everyone's bitch.

Originally from Rotherham (hence the username), so have a little bit of a soft spot for them. That has diminish a bit over the years though after their fans did start getting ahead of themselves a bit.

Would be good to have them back up though as I've not been to their new ground yet.

Not a bad result for them and you have to fancy them to go through at home.

One play off game down, three to go today. Putting in a reyt shift me. Lincoln v Exeter next.

I don't think I know a Rotherham fan.

In fact, the only football fan from Rotherham I know supports Man Utd.

To meee to youuuu...back to meeee...I hope they go up so they can have their bouncing day at the pigswill stadium.....

I don't mind the Rotherham fans who stuck with their team in the tough times of being kicked out of Millmoor and playing at the Don Valley. The twats I have no time for are the ones who came out of the woodwork after they got promoted and played in a nice new stadium, didn't they think they were the dogs bollocks giving it large and forgetting how we loaned them players and gave them financial support when the club was on it's arse. All in all I don't give a toss either way, out of all the local clubs I suppose they are the least disagreeable.

Good luck to Rotherham, hope they go up for no other reason to see them rekindle the bitter pigs-Millers rivalry. Always a pleasure to see and hear the porcine lot going off on one about Rotherham.

Any Blades on here getting upset over toy-town United, please, it's f***ing Rovrum. They're our little brother, if they start getting cocky just give them a clip they'll soon go back to knowing their place.

I know or have met a couple of Rotherham fans and my experience is similar to others who have found them to be an incredibly bitter lot with a big inferiority complex about the big city that they are a part of.

I really don't mind this other than the support that was shown when they hit hard times is completely forgotten.

I used to keep an eye out for and support all of our local teams (except 1 of course) but over the years have found them all starting to display the same sort of traits.

So no, it's come you Shrews for me. The team that most deserves it based on the whole season.

Can't be doing with them.

Their fans I know seem to have forgotten very quickly how we did bucket collections when they were in financial trouble, only to give it loads when they were a league above us!!

In reality, they're as relevant to us as Chesterfield.
Yeah but thats football. Wouldn’t it be wank if we all had “mutual respect” for each other.
