The dismal transfer policy of Cloughs second season is still lingering.

In August last season we were crying out for quality in certain areas. He got rid of most the crap and replaced it with fresh crap. Almost a full starting XI worth;

Alcock
McGahey
Butler
McEveley
J.Wallace
Higdon
Porter (resigned)

All this when all we needed to replace was Brayford, Maguire and Coady.

In January we needed a CB and CF. Credit to Clough with the signing of Done. But Coutts was bizarre at the time and the signings of Freeman & Brayford was also unnecessary (especially when Flynn was playing out of his skin at RB).

The disheartening truth is that it won't be until next summer before we can fully resolve the situation. Howard, McGahey, McEveley, Collins, Alcock, J. Wallace, Cuvelier, JCR, McFadzean, Woolford and Higdon can all go. Replace them with a GK, 2 x CB (Edgar & Burn), 2 x Wingers then things can begin to look a bit better.
