he needs to sell up, but if you read the article he isn’t selling unfortunately

What’s old welding goggles Reg Brearley up to these days? That’s not the only thing being stretched with the Prince. He’s got more chins than a Chinese ping pong tournament in that picture.

Spoke to a mate who helped secure the money from the Chinese investors who built china town/city center and and they are interested in buying the club apparently

Same type of people who took over Villa apparently

Nice mention of the Sheff United Way in this article from Nathan. I would imagine that the situation hasn't actually changed from when we spoke to the Prince, he was seeking investment then and I know for a fact he is now. I'd also imagine that if a good offer came in for SUFC then he'd consider it, everything has a price.

I can see McCabe smiling/laughing at this news, and possibly rubbing his hand together o_O
Why's that . Has McCabe got 70 m to get back in then 15 m
I’m not saying that at all….their both as bad as one another…I was just suggesting that McCabe could be thinking‘ I knew he didn’t have much money ‘
He will have some if he flogs us .

We are not up for sale. Seeking significant investment that has not come to fruition. Previous interested parties wanted a percentage that was unacceptable to HRH. More vocal now with media outlets to get word out there to attract people basically.
By percentage I presume you main part share of the club on a partnership basis?

So that article was written based on an article in The Athletic today which looked at all 24 clubs in the Championship and what their options were for sale. Obviously Derby came out top - United were in a middle section of clubs where investment was being sort.

Nothing to see here but you never say never, there isn't a club in the country not up for sale if the right money is offered.

Yeah, the Prince has been seeking added investment for quite some time now, he's made mention of it a few times if my memory serves me well... Also he now has a mortgage on his house, so is running his football operations in a credit situation, we know he's taken loans out in the clubs name as well reliant on our future incomes..

We also knew he wasn't a billionaire, there's been no covering up the fact that in football terms he's not got wealth to own a modern premier league team, not to mention make them successful.. He just rolled the dice with KMC and got lucky.

Then Wilder doubled it down and took us up.. Nice problem to have you'd think, but all the calculations of incomes he will have made (and based our transfer activity on) got stuffed with the lockdowns and we made a shit ton less money than expected.. Could only happen to us..

Any "success" for us is swiftly followed by a kick in the knackers leading to relegation etc...

Next time it's a world war, or aliens to land on the planet... Don't laugh.

I read on another thread some Blade has a spare 20m to upgrade the half time beer flow. Coincidence? I think not! 🤣

Terry Kennedy. What a guy!

I wondered when there would be a connection between the two. There is logic and a clear connection to the city, which many owners do not have.

Thought the guy who invested in Villa was skint before selling them to their current owner.

Here's the ground breaking bit about us:

Sheffield United, or more precisely their owners, United World Group, are also understood to be open to offers.

United World Group is controlled by Prince Abdullah bin Musaid Al Saud. The Saudi royal first bought a 50 per cent stake in Sheffield United for £1 in 2013 but that was when he and former owner Kevin McCabe were partners.

That relationship ended up in the courts, with Prince Abdullah winning the right to pay £5 million for the other half of the club in 2019, as well as market value for property assets linked to the club. In the meantime, Prince Abdullah has built his own multi-club group, with teams in Belgium, Dubai, France and India.

Some sources believe he may have overstretched himself, a situation not helped by the pandemic. But others say there is a simpler reason why Sheffield United are available: there can only be one English club in Saudi Arabia and that is Newcastle United.

Speaking to a fans’ podcast in September, Prince Abdullah admitted Sheffield United “had to sell players” this summer but did not want to tell the world that news. As a result, the club got good prices, particularly for Aaron Ramsdale following his £24 million move to Arsenal. But to avoid getting into that position again, the owner added: “We’re trying to get some partners to make the group more strong financially.”
