I'm reliably informed Harry is on £16k p.week. That's the insurmountable reason and also fairly obvious any league 1 side can't afford him on loan.
Like i have said before , any club that offers the right money and length of contract to a player , he will go . Also the club selling do have a problem , if the players contract is nearing its end . It is the wages that is preventing Harry moving to another club on loan , plus the issue of them being unsure of his overall ability , his he worth it , and good enough for any financial return whilst on loan.
Also if the club concerned went 50/50 with Hull on salary , it would still be more than the loan club wage structure . Harry is not a established player were a club would be willing to take a punt on him for the betterment of the existing squad . The blades had not option to let him go , and could not afford to have him back on loan . Thats football financial economics.
Harry and Ched saga have somewhat deflected the real issue at BDTBL .
The real issue is overcoming the same old , same old , on the field of play , week in week out. We all know the team spends hours every week training and preparing for the next game . What we lack ( the final piece in the jig saw now we have COG) is a leader on the field of play .Leaders organise and the more organised you are , the more success you will achieve. We need a Willie Carlin ,Trevor Hockey type ( Doyle is not that player). Do we break down and examine each game , and seek to avoid the same failures in the next match . It appears not.
Mr Clough does need a player who can make adjustments depending on circumstances , acting as the conduit from the dug out to the field of play . Andy Butler may have been the one from CH , but this has not worked out.
A good leader does sense the full actions on the field of play , and breeds confidence in all players , with being a outlet for the ball , all the time . Perhaps Mr Clough thought Basham was the man , but again , this has not yet come to fruition
Mr Clough to sort out CH and purchase a midfield general and we will be promoted.( Mr Clough brother needs to earn his corn on this one )
This is a defining year for the progression of the club , thats why the pressure is becoming greater as the season moves on .
..Organisation and confidence is the key , with the right recruitment of players and instilling a winning mentality , in to the existing first team squad .
Coming back to Harry . Nice lad , but forget about him , i have.
