I'd love to know what Roy Keane and Adrian Chiles would've made of this one. It seemed to have everything as a game. Plenty of chances, goals, challenges and the underdog coming from a goal down to eventually win by a flattering scoreline.

It was a good game Swiss. Still cant get over just how dirty NOTTS Forest were.

I don't think the scoreline was flattering. How many times does some pundit describe the difference ass the higher club taking their chances. Well yesterday they had 14 shots with 5 on target. We had 14 shots with 10 on target. We played the game to the end and looked more proffessional than them.
Really though I would not care if we had scrapped through (given our present plight) but it does feel much better when you were the better team.

After the Fulham replay I can understand it not being selected for TV but how short-sighted not to pick that game? Lowest ranked team, Clough / Davies / Forest, huge history of incredible games between the two sides, plus many other reasons, this was a hot one from the start. It's not just tinted-specs and hindsight. That's another drawback of the sharing of rights bullshit - tin-pot TV companies will never look beyond "the big boys".

The other thing about "rights" that pisses me off is how fucking difficult it is to get a bastard fixture list. I mean, shit.

I didn't think they were particularly dirty, I do think they turn up with a Wednesdayesqe attitude that they were here to get to the next round with minimal effort, and it seriously backfired.

I don't think they'd done their homework on the likes of Flynn, Murphy or Scougall and expected a aerial bombardment instead they had players running at them, fullbacks overlapping and a team full of confidence.

Hopefully we can transfer this to the league fo.

play tip tap football with the condition of pitches at the moment not much chance of that. RESULTS thats what matters. Its simple go unbeaten between now and May 17th and not only have we comfortably stayed up we will more than likely be in Europe.
