Clarke or Done!?

CW has got to get Done back in the team. Although he wasn't scoring, he was still contributing to the team, due to his not stop running and nuisance value, as he closed down opposition defenders. If one of the strikers other than Billy doesn't start scoring soon, then CW is going to have to consider potentially offloading one in the January window and then signing a replacement .
A cheap option would be Steve Davies from Rochdale. I rated him when he played for us, when Cloughie was in charge. Still not 29 years old and has scored 10 in the league and cup this season.

Just as an aside ..... All those after the return of ched Evans , and I'm certainly one of them , forget it , it's not happening . CW isn't interested but perhaps most importantly Ched himself is very firmly against it . He feels he was betrayed by the club after his release from prison .

7 starts for Clarke and whilst that's not a huge amount you would expect some sort of understanding to be taking shape. It looks less and less likely with every passing game.
Again Lavery has hardly played to date but to pair him with Sharp as our best forward line is bonkers at the moment. Surely it's based purely on a dislike of Done?
Sharp and Done = united winning games and scoring goals. We aren't going to thrash everyone since Dones been dropped we've scored 3 in 3 drawn 1 and lost 2. It's surely a no brainer

To bite the bullet and whether or not it has been tried in training is Clarke and Done , as the main front 2 .

Unfortunately ( and I understand why ) we are trying to make all things fit around Billy .

Major dilemma for Wilder and Knill . Can see us getting someone from S6 , who would compliment Billy and vice versa

You build your front line around Billy because he's a regular scorer simple

Snowman , hatter nu nu or big Dave is the bloke . He was there today and smiled . I know I was wired up and sat down , but when talking to Carlos the Jackal , that big Dave was smiling or doesn't understand English . Big fucker .

If that really is how he feels then he needs reminding that no other club was willing to give him a contract either. He should also be reminded that the owner isn't the 'club'. Finally, he surely has to feel that he owes us, and that should come before any issue with McCabe. He's had an incredible amount of support from us over the last few years.
 



Was Done dropped tactically or due to injury?

Agree with Done. I can see the logic of why he changed it though, Done wasn't scoring and missed some sitters in a team that was starting to get a bit nervy. If Clarke had bagged a hat trick next game we'd all be raving about what a genius Wilder was. As it happened, Clarke hasn't really fired so it's time to take what Done delivers and hope his scoring boots are back on
 
It looks like the general consensus is that Done is not as crap as Clarke and Lavery is crapper than the pair of them. So instead of playing someone on the basis of being the least crap, why not ditch all three of them and give a run to Brooks or Hallam. Think about it, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain.

According to a mate of mine, who spoke to Wilder a few weeks back, the rumour about Evans trying to sue the club is true so he must feel that the club owe him something. Personally I can't see how he could sue us for anything.

On the same note, though he didn't actually say so, it sounded as though Wilder wasn't best pleased about Evans.

It could only be about the alleged broken promise to sign him upon release, but even then he has no grounds to sue whatsoever.

He may have. Depending on how strongly the promise was made, who it was made by and what witnesses or other supporting evidence there is.

Whether he'll win, and if he does, how much he'll get would be for the court to decide.

He needs to think very carefully about this though. I suspect whatever promises were made, they were general, rather than specific so even if he proved the case he might not get much in compensation and may not get costs awarded.

I'd advise him to forget this shit and concentrate solely on what's left of his career and to make sure he maximises it. Not fuck about with vexatious legal claims.

But I'm not a solicitor. Others may have a better informed take on this.
