The one thing I saw that the ref got right. Fleck initially got fouled, the ball got away from him and he went in with a strong challenge to get it back.

I think the ref already had his whistle in his mouth to blow for a foul that happened about 2 seconds prior. Before he could whistle, Fleck made the challenge whilst the game was still in play. So blew the whistle, gave the original foul but because the ball was still live gave Fleck the card then resumed from the first foul i.e. our free kick

Ref had already given a foul / was playing advantage against Boro, then Fleck launches into that tackle. So he pulled it back for the first offence (freekick to us) but it was still dangerous play by Fleck, so a yellow for him.

Fleck's feet didn't leave the ground. It wasn't late, it wasn't high, and he won the ball. It was a very good tackle, nothing more. Absolute travesty that he got a yellow. Pulis the Prick got him that.

I was always fairly indifferent to Pulis, but after tonight, I shall laugh my little titties off when the classless moaning twat gets the sack sooner rather than later. Horrible little man.

I must say I was a bit concerned when both of our attacking overlapping centre backs were out, then Baldock goes off injured.
We couldn't get the ball down in the first half and it is the type of game we'd have lost last season

Saw this and couldn't understand the delay in giving it as it looked a blatant penalty to me, seemed a very por challenge from the Preston player, although I haven't seen any replays of it.

You might already know, but in one of his first ever interviews he decided to question Wilder’s logic in starting John Lundstram on account of his record in a Blades shirt (which he went into detail on). Wilder was incensed and has never buried the grudge. I imagine there were some stern words off air.

Houdini didn't perform as much magic as this bloke. Was worried when I saw the line up, but he just seems to find ways around any problems. Us blades fans should cherish him, because it won't get any better than what we are seeing now. Absolute legend.

Totally agree but last night the players deserve equal lauding. Wilder came up with a plan B, but the players executed it brilliantly. Having our defence ripped to shreds it could have been a disaster - but to a man they stood up and basically said 'fuck this, we're going up'.

I think the free kick where Fleck got booked got him wound up, even though you can plainly see the Ref blow for the foul just before by their player.
I also don't think Fleck should have been booked.

Thats the funniest thing I've heard since last week, when Wednesday fans were getting giddy about making the play offs, and how out of their next 5 games they could easily get 13-15 points now Brucie the proper manager is incharge. For about 20 seconds tonight, when Wilder was taking the piss out of the south stand Lino, shrugging his shoulders repeatedly to mimic an “I don’t know, I didn’t see it, I’m not taking any kind of risk by making any kind of decision” schtick ........ he reminded of no one other than Charlie Chaplin.

I was quite harsh on Wilder in the first half, I thought he'd got it tactically wrong....especially when Baldock got injured and he pushed Crainie out to RWB I thought 'we're just settling for a point here'.

I was left with egg on my face second half, I never expected that turn around. McGoldrick was excellent in the hole and Madine bullied their defenders, Sharp was none stop ratting, Egan and Stearman literally mopped everything up. Well played lads.
