Chris Wilder - What a man!

You'll have to take that up with someone who gives a fuck about "England" mate...

I wouldn't entertain the idea of giving the FA the steam off my piss let alone conversing with them.

Not wanting to go off topic, But that proves what i saying with the similarities with the lap of dishonour v Scunthorpe & that dreadful England v Slovenia

as many have already suggested this is a game we would have mostly likely ended up losing 1-0 in the last couple of years.

Or 2-4 at home on Nov. 24, 2015 under Nigel Bloody Adkins - a low point even in his undistinguished time here.

Another great win 7 goals in 2 games is unheard of recently i remember under weir when baxter won September goal of the month by default, 9 unbeaten & when you think where we were pre Oxford at start of this unbeaten run,

The Oxford game was undoubtedly the turning point. Just one point out of the previous four games, outplayed in the first half and 1-0 down at HT, we won 2-1 and have only conceded 6 times in the subsequent 8 games. Top stuff.

Anyone else see him do the 'beating his chest/heart/badge' thing at full time when he was coming towards the fans?
I usually hate that but I'll make an exception for CW. My mate, a Spurs supporter who comes with me to some Blades' games, saw him do that at Gills and said 'if anyone has a right to do that, he has'. Which is absolutely correct.

I doubted him early on in the season, but he's focused on the issues, put them right and now we look like we're getting stronger. The last two games we've looked fit, organised and ruthless.

Any manager who has a team 3-0 up away from home and still end up with both wing backs in the box trying to get a fourth gets a thumbs up from me. Never mind managing to inspire Paul Coutts and John Fleck to harry central defenders in injury time!

I thought it was wrong to sack Clough, thought it was wrong to sack Adkins, believed we needed a bit of continuity. As it stands at the moment, I have to accept we may finally have our man, I love the way he has the team looking like it matters to them personally, the omens look good.

Oh yeah i hinted to it, as we've had some low point in league 1, get outperfomed by a hartlepool side at Christmas only won 1 win all season. The 2 defeats to fleetwood. Scunthorpe last home game. But Shrewsbury was the worse off the lot. As just when you think we reach rock bottom they're was further to fall, getting ripped apart by Shrewsbury strikers if they been clinical couldve got 7/8
---------------------------------------------
Saw a stat earlier comparing utd after 13 games 15/16 & 16/17 said we after 13 games only 3pts worse only 4pts off auto & 1 defeat in 5. So a good position, but were miles more positive than ever were last yr

Love the guy, but I'll only remember him forever as th the guy we chanted 'CHRISSY Wilder' at. CHRISSY, lads, come on. I don't even understand it, Chris Wilder's red and white army would still work as a chant, why? Why does it have to be Chrissy??
I was chanting, "Christopher" as it happens

You probably mean this excellent thread.:) You're right, on paper there's not too much difference, but from now on Adkins only won one in the next seven. And that was Sadkins all over - one step forward, two steps back and eight home losses to some truly woeful teams.

We've got a couple on non-games coming up that I hope don't disrupt our rhytm - Orient in the Emirates FA Cupo on Nov. 5 and Grimsby in the fucking worthless Checkatrade Cup on Nov. 8, but we meet Shrewsbury again at home on Nov. 19.

Let's hope the millers don't come offering a double your money deal now they've sacked Stubbs,he's bound to be attracting attention with the brilliant job he's doing here and at Northampton last season

They should never have let Warnock leave. A caller on FH last night came out with the all-too-familiar stuff - "We can't keep sacking managers." No, like United pre-Wilder, it should be "We can't keep employing shite managers."

Just watched the three video interviews with Wilder on Blades player (pre match, form and post match). I wouldn't say that i had a hard on listening to his passion and desire, but it was a definite semi

Right, no quibbling, if you can't get a stiff cock after watching football's equivalent of Churchill you've got serious problems Swiss....go on, off you trot, the doctor awaits.

Any other league 1 club he probably would but this is his "dream" job. & also why leave we do have potential to be like Southampton similar stadium & size. But for rotherham top 10 in championship is probably their ceiling. Rotherham wanted Warnock to stay & warnock wanted to stay, but he just couldnt commit long term. Stubbs was strangely like weir. You know he would come good the guy won scottish cup with 1st division side. But 1 win in 13 & 6 consective losses. They just can't wait it out

I fully expect Chris Wilder to be in charge as we challenge for promotion from the championship, having battered and off several offers from larger clubs. This strikes me as a right club, right time scenario.

I also expect him to be backed in January if we're still flying, and for him to spend it wisely on potentially unknown players who fit

Fully agree with all that, unlike Adkins, Clough and Weir, Wilder is a perfect fit for United.

9 unbeaten tonight, 7 wins and 2 draws, automatic promotion form. Not been tonight but listening on RS and sounds like we've mostly dominated again! Full credit must go to the gaffa as many have already suggested this is a game we would have mostly likely ended up losing 1-0 in the last couple of years. He's doing a fantastic job and truly believing this could finally be our time. What a game Bradford is now set up to be!

No. The job's too big for him and we're going to be relegated- see the "relegation team" thread for details.
