Grok needs fixing, drew Bannan with way more hair than he actually has.
Absolutely brilliant. On Radio Sheffield now, absolutely outstanding interview![]()

Staton was gob smacked,he was trying to take in that he was getting the most controversial interview he's ever done
Looks like their fans driving cars are as good as their strikers - missed.Chris Wilder on the Sheffield double:
"It feels good. Talked to the players before and mentioned how we were ridiculed for so long, 6 seasons in League One, pub league and all stuff like that when I took over in 2016. I still talk about it to my pals, United and Wednesday pals, I was sat in a pub would you believe, shock, watching Wednesday vs Hull and I said if Wednesday win today to get in to the Premier League they might be gone for 15-20 years. They didn't and we managed to slowly close the gap, 100 points in the first season, then we came here and won 4-2, the Meadowhall league manager against the Champions League manager, the season afterwards we sold David Brooks and with a profit of £6m and the 13th/14th highest budget in the division we managed to finish runners-up. Found ourselves in the Premier League, 9th finish then a disappointing season. Then playoffs, sure we would've gone up if Paul got the job at the start of the season or I'd have stayed without being arrogant about it, next season go up, disappointing season. What I wanted to do was adjust the narrative, adjust the narrative of where we were, that we weren't pub league, we weren't ridiculed. Nobody cared about us, nobody was abusing me, nobody was trying to run me down in a car or whatever when that happened and all of a sudden it changes and changes and changes and now we're a little bit more of a rival, a little bit more of a threat, then we go above them, then we go even further above them, and tonight we're 31 points above them. It's amazing. Wanted us to dominate the city at academy level, we're doing that, wanted us to have the best ground, we're definitely doing that. The supporters are the supporters, fabulous and passionate from both sets, the noise in here today was electric. Wanted to have the best ground, best training ground - we've bought a new training ground, someone's come in wanting to take the club further which is testament to the work we're doing and they see ambition and life and a future."
6 games
3 wins
3 draws
0 conceded
You certainly take that
That last one must make them feel particularly inferior
Of course, my mistake, 5 in a row without conceding then. Way beyond what you'd ever expectThey scored two on Bouncing Day, then we haven't conceded to them since.
He was that shocked he missed a chance to sayAnd he's a wednesday fan, recording that live after asking the opening question.
Porktalk have already got a 6 page thread and counting about that interview

Wilder on RS
If anyone missed it, Wilder’s interview with Staton was gold. Absolute meltdown. Even Sharp said after he’d bit quite hard at some of Röhl’s pre match digs. Nevermind a chip, the bloke has a full sack of blue and white spuds on his shoulder. Answered every question with a history lesson about how...www.owlstalk.co.uk
Odd considering he praised their 90's team.
Those comments about him being jealous of Rohl are also hilarious
I’m a Wilder critic but for once he got the starting line up right based on who was available and his subs were spot on today still don’t back him to keep us in PL but deserves every praise for this season.Nah.
He’s a bottle merchant.
I read it on here recently![]()
