... I hope someone had serious words with him tonight for his attitude towards Lee Hendrie, Gary Naysmith and Ugo.

Supposed to be a captain and lead by example, it's all well and good showing passion, but today was out of order in my humble opinion.

I've defended Morgan on many many occasions but I won't be this time.

I'd drop him if it was upto me.

Not a way to react, butting heads with your own player!

Drop him and get Ugo back in. People said Sun Jihai was wreckless, but at least he did that for the team. Morgan was just stupid.

can someone fill me in as i didnt make it to the game and turned the radio off as soon as they scored, cheers.
and on Morgan, i'd have dropped him for his performances alone, if he has done what it appears he has he should DEFINATELY be dropped

Morgan was basically shouting at Hendrie blaiming him for the goal when Hendrie dummied the ball on the edge of the Norwich box which hit their defender. Their was a foul but they played on and went up and scored.

Hendrie's fault? NAAAAAAAA!

yeah thanks but did anythin untoward follow that? because to me a captian shouting at a teammate for giving the ball away isnt that big a deal

Oh I forgot the pushing his head into Hendrie's.

oh right thanks, well that is out of order n he doesn't deserve to be in the team anyway so dropped and stripped of the captaincy depending how bad it was, apparently something happened in the tunnel betwen them 2 but of course that has been denied

No doubt that did happen.

While they were still on the pitch just after the final whistle Naysmith had a go at Morgan telling him to calm it I'm guessing.

Ugo then chased upto him at beginning of the tunnel and grabbed hold of his arm to try and calm him. Morgs just threw his arm back to get him off.

Not good.

The clubs falling apart........................
lets hear what wobble gob & co have to say this week.....
thankfully we have our savior McCabe at the club !

Yer coudn't make it up.

do you only have one response to every post? I've read three posts made by you within 13 minutes of each other saying the same thing. Get a grip for fecks sake.

Anyhooooo, Morgs should be punished no doubt. Someone phoned Radio sheff making out like it was Hendries fault, but as this is not the case I would like to see the same punishment that I would expect to see for any player in this kind of situation - should be dropped, fined and made to apologise publicly IMO.

Funny how it's always Lee Hedrie who's involved though, last season he was scrapping with Kenny (allegedly), this season he has thrown the shirt on the floor and now he goes head to head with Morgan. BTW who gave Blackwell the black eye ? It is looking more and more like a re-run of last season. Something at BDTBL is not right.

Did you see any of these supposed incidents or is it all based on rumour and reputation?

The shirt situation was described a whole lot differently to me by someone who was actually at said match.

Yesterday, Morgan started having a go at Hendrie from the second it hit the back of the net and walked all the way up to the half way line (from the 6 yard box) to square up to him. However hot headed Hendrie can be, Chris Morgan is supposed to be our captain and shouldn't be carrying on like that. Nor should he be pushing away his fellow defenders and team mates who try to tell him the error of his ways.

It tell me that in some ways, something is right, as they were both very passionate and annoyed with us conceeding.

It tells me there is a lack of discipline at the club, didn't we have a similar incident last season with Killgallon ? All this handbags at dawn stuff does is make us a laughing stock.

It tells me there is a lack of discipline at the club

The lack of discipline that led to Mr Morgan being placed in the dug out for a while after the match until the rest had gone?

Perhaps your right though, which is why Chris Morgan needs a dressing down and told if he ever acts so petulantly again that he'll be stripped of his captaincy.

In my opinion Morgan should've knocked 10 bells out of him, on the pitch too. Then at least we'd see some action.

It is funny though isn't it how Hendrie is always involved in shit like this, the guy who has a reputation for stirring.

End of the day Hendrie shouldn't have been back chatting his captain, basically he tried to do something clever it didn't work and ended up in us losing the game.

Morgan has had a go at players before, but the way he let rip into Hendrie must mean that somethings not right. Blackwell has openly said he doesn't work very hard. Said it all along he's just not good for SUFC.

Well done Morgs.

Perhaps he should, then he'd have been banned for a long time and we'd have been forced to bring in Ugo who has made far fewer mistakes than a certain Mr Morgan this season.

You could say the same about Morgan. Who also argued with Kenny, Ugo and Naysmith to name but 3.

Perhaps not, but the captain shouldn't be marching half the length of the pitch to square up to him in the first place. Especially when he knows Lee Hendrie is one of a few of his team mates who don't respond well to such actions. He lost the ball trying to create something. We cry out for someone creative in the team, they try something that doesn't come off and suddenly they are at fault. We can't have it both ways!

As a captain, you command respect by leading by example, something which Morgan is failing to do of late.

It wasn't Hendrie losing the ball that lost us the game, it was failing to score and then failing to put in 1 successful challenge from many chances to do so when Norwich broke the full length of the field to score.

Lee Hendrie isn't blameless, but neither are the rest of them, certainly not Morgan.

Morgan has had a go at players before, but the way he let rip into Hendrie must mean that somethings not right. Blackwell has openly said he doesn't work very hard. Said it all along he's just not good for SUFC.

Not right with who? other players on the pitch seemed to think Morgan was out of order.

So taking Hendrie out of the equation, what about Paddy and Morgs and Ugo and Morgs?

So it is Hendrie's fault we lost? Not Morgan for stopping the shot or getting the ball before he had chance to shoot? Hendrie is there to create chances, not to stop the opposition scoring.

Pity he doesn't do either of those things eh.

He did put in one of the best passes I've seen this season to enable Danny Webber to go 1 on 1 with the keeper in acres of space.

It's a little difficult to create whilst not on the pitch though :)

Neither did Morgan, he didn't create anything or stop the opposition scoring. Does that mean someone should start a fight with him?

The annoying thing about this thread is the title and the posts being so quick to condemn Morgan who we all know is a bit of a hot head. Nobody apart from those on the field really know what happened or was said, very unprofessional from both of them is my take on it. Hendrie deserved a bollocking trying to be smart in the last minute made far worse by not tracking back and should be man enough to take it. Having said that it should be done behind closed doors, then there would be no reports on it carrying on in the tunnel and onto the team coach.

BTW I would have loved to have seen Hendrie in the same team as Billy Whitehurst ;)

The whole reason for my rant was, from what I saw at the match it seemed pretty obvious what had gone on.

Whether or not he's a hot head, whether Hendrie was in the wrong or not, whatever is going off behind the scenes... Chris Morgan is the captain of the club and shouldn't go off in that way on the field. As you rightly say, do it behind closed doors.

Hendrie deserved a bollocking trying to be smart in the last minute made far worse by not tracking back and should be man enough to take it.

See that's the fine line. We want someone "creative", but when they try to create by doing something out of the ordinary they deserve a bollocking? Would you be saying the same had the ball not hit the defender and the dummy had gone through into the box to create a goal?

The ball then travelled the majority of the pitch with a few opportunities for us to win the ball back.

In hindsight, had Hendrie just held the ball up, Norwich may not have scored and we'd have a point rather than nothing... but that is the very fine line between success and failure. Especially when it comes to "creativity".

When did I say it was Henries’ fault that we lost the game? I said it was his mistake that lead to them scoring. Obviously Morgs is gonna be pissed off, he's the captain; you take it on the chin and have words later, not on the pitch.

If I was to have a go a my boss like Hendrie did and square up to him even though I (supposedly) did nothing wrong, what do you think the outcome would be.

Hendrie is just a shit stirring, big gob who thinks he's better than SUFC.

Hendrie's "mistake" as you put it, lost us the game, so going round the houses way, you have said that hendrie lost us the game.

Morgan is'nt his boss, hes more of an assistant manager. With the boss seeing all the incident, with hendrie not being at fault, he would have a got a word with and so too the assistant manager. BTW it was morgan who was squaring upto Hendrie.

Hendrie is just a shit stirring, big gob who thinks he's better than SUFC.

Well to say that about a player when you have done plenty of "big gob" a few months ago says summort.

That's a rather simplistic way of looking at it. Whilst it could be argued that Hendrie’s actions helped towards us losing the game, fault could equally be laid at the feet of the strikers who didn’t score more goals than the opposition.

It’s never one player’s fault that a match is lost.

i like simple ;)
Yes, it can't be laid at his feet that we lost, but many have put it down to him we lost. He tried to create something but it didn't come off. Had webber put that chance away which hendrie played him, would have been a different story.

It’s never one player’s fault that a match is lost.

Wish you would post that on the monty bashing threads :D
