I met Chris once at one of those private dinners, it was him and Danny Wilson. Top top fella and very open and honest in his comments and opinions. Would love for us to find a role for him on the coaching team maybe. UTB
Certainly share your love for Morgs , and like you nearly suffered multiple small bone injuries when I shook his hand at Donny races the other year.
Greatest (and hardest) leader of my lifetime is Eddie Colquhoun, skipper , ball player and enthusiastic smoker. I met an old school friend of his from Prestonpans in a bar in Lanzarote last year. Inspired by this chance meeting I proceeded to sing Eddie's name lustily and got told to shurrup by the barman.
Morgs can't believe it's not butter either.....Can't believe he's only 40
David Kelly will be 52 on the 25th of this month. He too was sacked by Port Vale recently. I wish him birthday greetings in advance of the big day.
In fact, Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas to all inept, unemployed football coaches wherever they may be.

Fucking hell, try imagining that, my heads about to explode!
For a while...
He was dropped.. in the premier league........ to make way for....... Claude fuckin Davies
Well done Colin you tit!!
I remember us playing Portsmouth, I think S Quinn scored a decent free kick... Davies dropped a bollock and they equalised.
I saw Morgs at the end of the match(unused sub I think).
As I walked past him I said "you'd have just fuckin hoofedi it clear wunt ya?"
Morgs. "Oh fuckin ell aye"
Never one to wear coloured boots he always wore his Umbro Standfinders.
And happy birthday and merry Christmas to miserable keyboard warriors who valiantly defend the 'true spirit of football' from those S2 hoardes.
With their shield of justice and their trusty sword of bollocks......
Presume you're going with a back three to fit Matt Kilgallon in?
I'm not always on board with Pinchy's views but he's bang on the money here. Morgs was a limited player but one who squeezed every last drop out of the talent he had at his disposal, and then topped it up with passion, drive and leadership on the pitch. However, a coach he isn't, and no amount of sentiment is going to change that. Are you serious? Has he not yet proved his incompetence in that role to your satisfaction? Are we an ambitious, professional club or a rest-home for old warhorses?
Nowt Fancy.
I think that was the incident that led to razorgate if I recall Morgs’ recollection of events properly.

Is there a definitive version of 'razor gate'?
I'm not saying we should make way for him to come in this set up but there's not much to go on for or against morgs as a coach. Obviously not worked out on a managerial level (although only brief spells where previous more experienced managers also failed) but there's nothing to say he can't offer something in some role. Personally not seen many with his ability to organize a defense and I think he will still have a place in the modern game.probably not with us but I wouldn't be surprised if his name is still around the game for years to come.
Morgan was a stalwart defender, a leader and a big part of our success during the Warnock era. This is a thread recognising his general excellent contribution to our club, yet you choose to focus on a very short period where he was stand-in manager, and his record with subsequent clubs - which is irrelevant to us.Not much to go on apart from every club he has ever coached being relegated and his self proclaimed football philosophy “Nowt Fancy - Like Bassett.”?
I think we’ve moved on, thank Pele.
I can understand not liking the philosophy, personally always hated the long ball too. Regardless of this though it's still very harsh to put all this blame/criticism at Chris's door. The clubs you refer to , not many could of stopped there slide. Let alone a caretaker manager/ backroom staff member with zilch managerial experience. Had Morgan's retirement fell on the arrival of wilder instead of Wilson we could easily be heaping praise on him like we do knill, Geary etcNot much to go on apart from every club he has ever coached being relegated and his self proclaimed football philosophy “Nowt Fancy - Like Bassett.”?

You continuously bang on about others with agendas, yet are so clearly blind to your own. Wake up mate.
It was a response to a suggestion that there was ‘not much to go on’ about his coaching ability. Another post suggested we ‘find a place’ for him on the coaching staff. Should those individuals wake up?
