Total legend but my concern is, if he's only 40 now, what the fuck's he going to look like when he gets to my age ? (and I'm no oil painting, by the way )

He looked 40 when he first signed for us! Happy birthday you big old bastard!

they say some people have faces that look like they have been lived in, but with Morgan, it looks like they had a three month bender, and forgot to clean it before giving it back, still love the man, best leader we have had on the field.

When I was still playing football, it was Morgan I want to play like more than any other player, hard but fair and sometimes just the wrong side of fair...

I just wanted to play like a pro and I didn't disappoint myself. Just wasn't like a "pro" footballer really, Pro Twat definately.

In fact, Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas to all inept, unemployed football coaches wherever they may be.

And happy birthday and merry Christmas to miserable keyboard warriors who valiantly defend the 'true spirit of football' from those S2 hoardes.

With their shield of justice and their trusty sword of bollocks......

He was a 'proper' centre half totally suited for his time. The fact he's 40 staggers me - he looks so young & fresh-faced....
Leader of Men. Rock of Defence. Hard as Nails.
Many Happy Returns Morgs, you legend.

I met Chris once at one of those private dinners, it was him and Danny Wilson. Top top fella and very open and honest in his comments and opinions. Would love for us to find a role for him on the coaching team maybe. UTB

Nine days before me. I think there’s a match on close to mine?

I’m a fucking useless coach as well.
Reading your posts Pinchy may I be the first to wish you a happy 11th birthday.

Still think we wouldn't of gone down to league one that season if morgs was fit.

Great leader and a very good defender, not just the brute he's sometimes painted as.
I am absolutely certain we would not have been relegated had he not got injured. I remember when we got promoted to the PL I did not think he would be good enough. How wrong I was. He comfortably made the step up and what he may have lacked in skill he more than made up for in character and leadership. Great pity he could not be found a position in the present set up. However so far as him playing in the current team I am not sure he would fit. I suppose he could may be manage the Jake Wright role but as a player he never really ventured over the halfway line except for dead ball situations and I cannot see him overlapping down the left or right wings as our current CBs do!

Great player for us though. Happy birthday Morgs.

Greatest leader we ever had. You'd have to be a cowardly, effete cunt to think otherwise...
Certainly share your love for Morgs , and like you nearly suffered multiple small bone injuries when I shook his hand at Donny races the other year.

Greatest (and hardest) leader of my lifetime is Eddie Colquhoun, skipper , ball player and enthusiastic smoker. I met an old school friend of his from Prestonpans in a bar in Lanzarote last year. Inspired by this chance meeting I proceeded to sing Eddie's name lustily and got told to shurrup by the barman.

I remember Morgan clattering a Walsall player at the Bescot in 2004/05 (I think). Both went flying into the dug out. Morgan just brushed himself up and ran back on the pitch, I think the Walsall player went off injured.

A true legend and he epitomised the side of that period. It's a shame the latter years fizzled out for him with the injuries, as he deserved a proper send off.

For a while...
He was dropped.. in the premier league........ to make way for....... Claude fuckin Davies

Well done Colin you tit!!

I remember us playing Portsmouth, I think S Quinn scored a decent free kick... Davies dropped a bollock and they equalised.

I saw Morgs at the end of the match(unused sub I think).

As I walked past him I said "you'd have just fuckin hoofedi it clear wunt ya?"

Morgs. "Oh fuckin ell aye"

Never one to wear coloured boots he always wore his Umbro Standfinders.

Great servant to the club and leader on the field.

He Wouldn't get into the current side though, be behind Stearman as fifth choice.
