Player Suggestion Chris Kirkland

Not a bad keeper on his day but the guy should walk around with a big fragile sticker on his back.

If Kirkland is willing to come and be on our wage structure I would take him like a shot.

He never developed into then Premier level keeper he was predicted to be but he is decent Champion level and much better than we have.

I am guessing the wages will rule it out though.

I'm guessing him signing for Preston would rule it out

Former pig but hes a decent keeper and now hes getting into his final few years of his career maybe he could be a good replacement for Mark Howard, might be unlikely but he is a free agent now so its possible and we definitely need a new back up keeper and he could do the job.

Kirkland walloped by a bloke who had drunk :-

a number of cans of lager, three-quarters of a litre of vodka and a further seven to 10 pints of cider.

What would Tracey, Kelly or Kenny had done if confronted by this unsavoury behaviour?

Kenny would have started Coughing, Tracey would have lamped him if rumours he loved a good drink and punch up were true and Kelly wouldn't have let the goal in to start with.

As Shoreham said Kirkland has a bad injury record. Doesn't matter if he was Wednesday or not, when he was at ours he was diagnosed with a spinal issue where the discs crumble. It finished his career for a while. I was surprised he lasted so well at Wednesday. It would be too much of a risk as a No.1
