No no no to Mick McCarthy. Ipswich is my home town club and he is awful. Yes potentially a save pair of hands but he will suck the life out of the club with his boring “let’s not get beat rather than let’s win attitude”.

Completely opposite to Wilder.

I agree on style but if we go down the budget route then I can't see a better manager than McCarthy. Took them to the play offs twice and 7th in another season. I just want Wilder to stay to be honest, he's a total one off, but of he goes then I don't see a better appointment than McCarthy.

How about the Cowley brothers from Lincoln? Big step up I grant you, but highly rated and surely a more interesting choice than the usual merry go round of Cottrill and the usual suspects?

But yeah, zablade is right; it would probably be Rip Van Winkle.

Lincoln’s management duo would be my first choice.

I don’t want a manager that’s been sacked everywhere he’s been. Need someone with a similar record to CW but just 2 years previous to current day.

Not for me. I rate him as a manager but he's a pig and if he struggled i couldn't take any more of the "agent hurst" comments from the unclean as it used to piss me off with wilson.
Rise above it. "Agent" this and that - means sod all.

He's got Shrewsbury playing good football, 3rd in league on a mall budget. Young, English, would know what we as fans expected.

All pointless anyway - Wilder is here for the foreseeable.

I actually wanted him or McCall in 2007 when Warnock left and I wrote to KM saying so. I didn't want some ageing hasbeen, which is unfortunately what we got.

He was okay at Fulham and unlucky to get the boot but his career has been a bit patchy since then.

Not having a swipe at the OP, but can we start debating who will replace Coleman now? because there is a lot of jumping the gun over CW, so let's get ahead of ourselves now....

Just saw this posted on Friendface:

"Let's get a potitican together to keep wilder he's a blade and a Sheffield man UTB"

Oh dear

The replies are hilarious :)

If Wilder does go and I really hope he doesn't then we don't want an experienced manager. Too much of a risk and Binnion is very young still too. McCabe previously went for Mark Warburton and I'd be surprised if he wasn't right up there again. Personally I like Coleman but I'd say we couldn't go wrong with Mick McCarthy but he isn't a particularly exciting choice.

Just hope this is all cleared up soon and obviously want Wilder to stay for a long time.

Warburton bailed from Brentford because he didn't like how the board worked. Can't see him fairing any better with fucking Laurel & Hardy here. Good shout in the right circumstances though, would be want plenty of Bread*?

*sorry, couldn't resist.
