Kilmarnock have accepted an offer for striker chris boyd from an unknown championship club.

I have a good feeling

Kilmarnock have accepted a bid from Sheffield ******day for striker Kris Boyd, BBC Scotland understands.
After watching Boyd net his 17th goal of the season, Kilmarnock manager Jim Jefferies revealed the 22-year-old could be on his way to England.

Jefferies said: "We've had a very good offer from a Championship side, a big offer and the offer was accepted.

"I've never had an offer from Rangers. Maybe the chairman knows something I don't know but he keeps me up-to-date."

Boyd is out of contract in the summer and the Ayrshire side would rather cash in on their star asset when the January transfer window opens than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

Rangers have been strongly linked with the player, who is a self-confessed fan of the Ibrox club.

And Sheffield ******day, who are managed by Scot Paul Sturrock, may not be such an attractive option since they are struggling at the wrong end of the table.

"It will be a great offer for the club but it has to suit Kris Boyd. You can't force people to go," added Jefferies.

"We accepted an offer from Cardiff just before the season got under way and he didn't go there and this is a bigger offer than that."

Can't believe that bollocks he will never go to them surely

In the end it will come to wages, he'l want to much and the agent will be greedy, therefore leadin to the deal being of and we sign someone from league 1. Dave allen then comes out and explains the money was there but the player didnt want to move all the way up north, something about it being to cold for the poor lad.

If we sign kris boyd i will personally write a letter to dave allen askin to kiss his bum
